The location for Northness Apartments is excellent. It is next door to Mareel, and very close to the main street. The apartment was clean, very comfortable, and in a very quiet position.

Comfortable, clean, well equipped accommodation. The owner allowed us early access, which was really kind and appreciated.

Nothing not to like. Just dropped a rating point as the decor is a little budget aesthetically speaking. This made zero difference to the comfort though.

Location and on-site parking. Ability to check in early. Owner sending information in a timely manner and responding to queries.

Some of the dishes weren't clean. It wasn't obvious what all the switches were for.

"Excellent location and value for money, spotlessly clean but needs new mugs."

I liked that it was in a very quiet area of town but you were only a minute away from the town centre and also the museum & Mareel.

The bed was a little too firm for me but not really terrible, we were only staying one night anyway. Could have done with some new mugs, the insides were all stained brown. We could hear the person pacing the floor in the room above the bedroom, don't know what they were doing at 0730 on a Sunday morning but I guess creaky floorboards is to be expected in one of the oldest houses in Lerwick.

"Perfect location for a trip to the Shetlands"

Wonderful two-storey apartment in a vintage house. Well-equipped (household electrics and basic ingredients for cooking) Clean, good instructions before arrival Very welcoming apartment provider with quick and helpful answers! Details: 20 minutes walk to the Ferry Terminal 2(!) minutes walk to the central Viking Bus Station 5 minutes walk to the main shopping street 10 minutes walk to the next supermarket (there are not many in Lerwick) Seaside walk 2 minutes from the house.

The house was located in a great spot. Not far to walk anywhere. It was very clean and comfortable and the owner Jennifer is so easy to deal with and very friendly.

The location and the space was perfect for two people.

There were a lot of switches that had no explanation. A label or more directions would have saved us done frustration but it was not a big deal. Going from great to excellent kind of thing.
