Howard Johnson by Wyndham Near Schlitterbahn

Good location - friendly staff- new mattress- no bedbugs- yay

There was a musty moldy smell. The place smelled old because it is. We did not address it with the staff because in all reality what could they do? Lesson learned, not to rely on the brand name. We came in for a work dinner, checked in, got dressed and went out to the dinner. We got in late and went to bed. Got up early and checked out.

I wouldn't even check in. There are 2 taco vending trucks in the parking lot, vagrants walking around checking out my car while I was in it, the property was so bad on the outside I couldn't imagine going inside and sleeping on any linens. I tried to get a refund for my stay but was denied. I am not a fancy person, but I at least want to feel safe while I sleep, which would not have been the case.

We had such a wonderful time at Howard Johnson in New Braunfels. We especially loved the great discount that I got when I called. The staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating – they really made us feel like part of their family. It was an incredible experience!

pleasingly surprised by a hot breakfast not the greatest but good enough , also an on site a great taco burrito empanada vendor , not to mention a steakhouse next door great location

Housekeeping maintained the room impeccably throughout my stay, and the air conditioning kept the room at a comfortable temperature.

Lot of breakfast choices--more than I expected.
