Dieu Donne Cottage

Good Day, The bathroom was not well designed as the shower water wets the floor, the toilet seat is loose, no place to put a toilet bag let alone clothing.

What an incredible place to stay - I LOVED it! The team behind the cottage - Georgia, Steve and the farm manager, Madison - were all exceptional. Friendly, helpful and prompt to reply. The cottage itself exceeded all my expectations - it was beautiful, had all I needed, super comfy and clean too. I couldn't bear to leave. The location is just amazing!

The farm road to the cottage is a little rough for a small hire car and it was a little isolated for a woman alone - but I'd go back in a heartbeat. It would also be lovely to have the option of some basics in the cottage (even if for a small fee) - if you are arriving by plane, having to go to the shop and buy salt, sugar, coffee, tea, oil etc can add up and is bulky/ tricky to take back.

The mansion is beautiful and its location near the pound is fabulous. The place is wild, yet not so far from a city which is convenient and close to a nice golf course. Georgia was very efficient in guiding us to reach the place. It was difficult to leave the place!..

There is only one wood fire place to heat the whole house and it could be a bit of a concern during the cold season. Hopefully the conforters are extra thick and warm

The surrounding farm is large and expansive with a variety of places to walk and meander. The dam in front of the house is suitable for canoeing, fishing and swimming! The main house was spacious and well equipped. Property is secluded and quiet. Beds are very comfortable. Manger was communicative and helpful!

The house had a few maintenance issues that could be addressed such as loose doorhandles in bathroom and lights however I am sure the owners will address this. The braai area does not have a roof or covering making it less useful during rainy days. I would really have loved a non-stick pan in the kitchen. None of these issues really impact the quality of the stay at all however.

Dieu Donne Cottage is a beautiful place. I loved the fact that the Cottage was fully fenced yet you still had access to the dam at your doorstep. This was ideal for my dog who could roam and play as she wished. The scenery is amazing. All the staff and owners were so good to us and always to helpful with are request to make purchases from the dairy. We will definitely be back. Our parents had an amazing stay as well. Sani pass was a very nearby drive.
