Twin Waters Resort

Twin waters is a great place to relax. The chalets are clean, spacious and comfortable. The veranda overlooks the river, a great place to chill. Nice pool too. The property is in a quiet location, perfect for birdwatching at the nearby wetlands. Eddie, a very gracious man and his family, along with Luke and Nisak made our stay even the more enjoyable. The food was delicious, the servings generous and some of the best we’ve had during our six week stay in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended if you want to chill out and relax.

The owner is really friendly and he helped us with eyerthing. The room was really nice and very clean. Eddie was the best we loved him. The view from our balcony was amazing, you could watch so many birds its in a Nationalpark with Mangroves. The Mangroves right and the Sea on the left.

Excellent location, peaceful and off the beaten track. Absolutely ideal for those who wish to go back to nature, see the(real) Sri Lanka amongst the friendly villagers. The chalet was clean and comfortable with easy access to the nearby bird sanctuaries. The meals were excellent and well presented. The swimming pool was a bonus

A really unique experience with wonderful hosts and beautiful location

Good quiet location and very friendly people..

Hard to know where to start, the property is run by an interesting multi-lingual family who genuinely do everything to make sure you have a great stay. The property is amazing, the lagoon to the front would be enough to make it amazing but turn 180 degrees and the sea and gorgeous beach is just there. It is not hard to get to, £25 taxi from the airport and when you are there why not hire a Tuk Tuk for your stay as I did, organised by the Resort, and Im 72 years old. We drove miles in it. The food is excellent, our only complaint that they kept trying to give us too much, they are so kind. We had breakfast and dinner there every day. The chalets are spotless, large and comfortable. Nearby, the fishermen bring the nets in and welcome any help you can give them to help unload the fish from the nets into the pickups, great fun. The pool is excellent, it is large and overlooks the lagoon. Then there are the birds, absolutely amazing, the resort is next to a bird sanctuary, we saw so many different coloured birds, bring a bird identifier book. The local people are so friendly and smiley, we met and talked with them every day when we went for a walk. We had such a great time here, all in all a great experience.

absolutely nothing could improve our stay. To be fair, I would say if your looking for bars, different restaurants and a lively time this resort is not for you. If your looking for an interesting, beautiful and quiet resort this is the one.

We spent a few wonderful days at Twin Waters, hosted by Andrew, and the experience was simply magical. Nestled between the river and the sea—less than 100 meters apart—the place is a true haven of peace, surrounded by stunning nature. The nearby village offers an authentic glimpse of local life: fishermen, unpaved streets, children’s dance classes, a small church… And just 2 km away, the bird sanctuary is a true gem for nature lovers. Starting at 6 a.m., the sky comes alive with the graceful flight of beautiful birds—an unforgettable sight. The chalets are well spaced out, offering total privacy. The meals, both Sri Lankan and European-inspired, are delicious and lovingly prepared by Andrew’s attentive team. The staff are incredibly caring, and the fellow guests we met were warm and inspiring, adding even more magic to the stay. A true hidden gem, a timeless escape. Without hesitation: 10/10.

Edward and his family were the gentlest of people who cared so much about our stay and comfort. Nothing was too much trouble. The location of the hotel is sensational bordered on one side by a lake full of wildlife and on the other by the sea with a beautiful and very empty beach. Dinner was delicious and my wife still raves about her curry. Fully recommend...

The mosquitos. Bring repellent and you'll be fine.

A beautiful place, away from the noise and busy streets. Perfect for relaxation. Beautiful surroundings, a view of the ocean from the resort restaurant, and a view of the lagoon from the terrace of the house. The room is large, comfortable, European standard. The owner is cheerful, friendly and very talkative, but also imposing. The resort literally borders on a long, beautiful beach. The area is also a fantastic place for bird watching. a place worth recommending

Access road in poor condition

Genuinely hospitable and lovely family running this very comfortable boutique operation in a peaceful location between the bird sanctuary and the beach. Food was excellent. Definitely recommended.
