Twin Waters Resort

We really enjoyed our stay with Eddie and the team and felt very welcomed by them. Ideally located up the west coast on the way to Kalpitiya peninsula and Wilpattu. So a good location on way to those locations or on way to the airport. There is a train station ten minutes away and hotel arranged a TukTuk for us. Hotel has a large swimming pool, it was on the beach. A short TukTuk away is a bird sanctuary which was great. Accommodation small bungalows was clean, with large rooms looked out over a lagoon with balconies. Breakfasts were large - fruit, eggs then Sri Lankan. It was so big they offered to keep and reserve it for lunch at no extra charge We would happily return

My stay at Twin Waters Resort was great. Nice location just as expected. Aunty Manel, Eddy and the team were awesome at their service. Great hospitality. Thank you for being such lovely hosts. Enjoy every bit of the stay.

De locatie was schitterend, maar de eigenaren waren het hart van de locatie.

Wij hebben deze plek gekozen om direct naar toe te reizen vanuit Negombo. Dit was echt een perfect plan. Het is namelijk een heerlijke plek om je vakantie rustig te beginnen (of te eindigen) omdat het redelijk dicht bij Negombo ligt (en dus bereisbaar na een lange vlucht), maar je wel in alle rust zit. Het ontvangst is super hartelijk en iedereen is super lief en behulpzaam. Special thanks to Eddie! Het eten was ook heerlijk. We hebben echt genoten. In augustus was de zee ruig, maar wij vonden dat juist super om in te zwemmen. Er is een heerlijk zwembad en een mooi vogelreservaat vlak bij. Goed om rekening te houden me het feit dat er verder niet super veel te doen is. Maar dat was voor ons juist perfect.

La serviabilité de l'équipe : ils se sont levés a 3h30 pour notre départ pour nous passer des breakfast box et nous dire au revoir. Piscine très agréable, oiseaux et quelques autres animaux visibles dans le jardin. Belle vue sur le lac depuis les terrasses.

Hôtel assez cher par rapport au reste du Sri Lanka.

Prachtige plek voor ons om de vakantie in Sri Lanka af te sluiten. De bungalow was perfect, heel ruim, goede badkamer en terras met uitzicht de lagune. Prachtig zwembad 'with a view'. Heerlijk ontbijt, lunch en diner. Maar vooral de attente eigenaren en hun staff waren uitstekend.

Dat niet meer mensen dit resort bezoeken. Zelfs buiten het seizoen is dit een heerlijke plek.

Het personeel van Twin Water Resort was zo enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten was heerlijk. De accommodatie was erg schoon, ruim en het zwembad heerlijk. Mooi gelegen tussen zee en rivier. Veel mooie vogels in het reservaat dichtbij maar ook in de tuin van het resort.

Niets. Er is afgezien van het vogelreservaat niet superveel te doen in de buurt maar dat wisten we en was een bewuste keuze.

The service was truly outstanding – friendly, thoughtful, and completely genuine. You can feel that real hospitality is at the heart of everything here. Our bungalow was beautifully furnished, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean – with a breathtaking view of the lake from our balcony. The location of the resort is truly unique: nestled between a lake and the sea – a perfect place to relax and unwind in nature. This hotel offers not only the highest level of comfort but also a special sense of peace and care. We would have loved to stay longer. Many thanks to the entire team – you’re doing an amazing job!

First impressions weren't great but we quickly learnt that this is a very special place and it provided the perfect end to our 24-day family holiday to Sri Lanka. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves so it was very peaceful and relaxing. The chalets had HUGE bedrooms of a Western standard - the best accommodation we experienced. The location nestled between the lagoon and the ocean was unique. We received excellent hospitality and genuine kindness from all the staff, including Eddie, his wife and Luke. The swimming pool and all meals were great. We would recommend it as a quiet alternative to Negombo at the start or end of your trip.

It was a shame that we visited during Monsoon and so we couldn't swim in the sea. Also there was a huge amount of plastic litter on the beach. We knew all this in advance so we weren't shocked or disappointed.
