We spent our first night in Sri Lanka at Twin Waters Resort. It is beautifully tucked away, so peace and silence are guaranteed. We had the beach completely to ourselves, and the pool area is also a wonderful place to relax. The bungalows are very spacious and clean, and the view from the veranda over the river, combined with the sounds of nature, is simply magical. The absolute highlight of this place are the hosts, Edward and Manel. They are incredibly warm and welcoming and speak very good English, as they lived in England for many years. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and clearly prepared with great care and love. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for tranquility and genuinely kind company.

Eine kleine Oase an der weniger touristischen Küste des Landes. Tolle Appartements mit Balkonen, die zum Entspannen einladen mit Blick auf den Fluss. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Herzlichkeit der lieben Gastgeber. Wir haben uns von Anfang an willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Man kann im Meer zwar nicht schwimmen aber dafür gibt es den schönen Pool umgeben von Palmen. Das lokale, frisch gekochte Abendessen auf der Veranda ist ein Genuss! Danke für die schöne Zeit und auf ein Wiedersehen! Die Unterkunft war ein Highlight auf unserer Reise!

Twin Waters Resort is a true hidden gem, defined by the warm and genuine hospitality of the engaging couple who own it! They made us feel instantly welcome with a refreshment and throughout our stay they engaged with us in such a pleasant manner. The setting is spectacular, offering breathtaking views of the lagoon, which is a haven for wildlife. We enjoyed the sight of majestic eagles and many varieties of beautiful birds flying overhead. Our chalet was very comfortable: the room was spotlessly clean, and we especially loved relaxing in the comfortable chairs on the terrace. We also like to highlight the food. The Sri Lankan Rice and Curry dinner was very tasty!! Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace, nature, and heartfelt hospitality!

Twin Waters has a fabulous remote location on a plot of land that has the Indian Ocean on one side and an inland lagoon on the other. My bungalow (one of four) over looked the lagoon with a wonderful view and nature all around. There is nothing to disturb the quiet except the sound of waves on the shore. My hosts were very attentive and helpful and the bungalow was spotlessly clean.

Tolle ruhige Lage, sehr freundliche und bemühte Gastgeber. Leckeres Abendessen und Frühstück. Wunderschöne Ausblicke aus dem Zimmer. Eines der besten Hotels während unserer Reise (wenn auch etwas preisintensiver). Es lohnt sich. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Alles war perfekt.

The pool was beautiful with views of the sea and lagoon and I enjoyed a 7.30am swim before breakfast. We happened to be the only guests staying as it’s very much low season, and Eddie and his family made us feel like honoured house guests. Lovely food - we particularly enjoyed all the vegetable dishes, curries prepared with 2 different spice levels, milk rice with kithul treacle, scrambled eggs and all the fresh fruit. Lagoon view from our chalet terrace was a real plus. A great place to relax, swim and read.

The beach in front is littered with plastic - this is common throughout Sri Lanka unfortunately.

Twin Waters war unsere erste Unterkunkft auf Sri Lanka und wir wurden wie Freunde aufgenommen. Das Essen war super, die Besitzer sind super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Es war eine ideale Einstimmung auf das Land. Danke dafür!
