The Shipwright Inn

Property was specifically booked on basis that it had its own restaurant and bar and that breakfast was included. On day of arrival we found out that the restaurant and bar were closed due to no staff. Turns out it’s been this way for a while. Breakfast also wasn’t provided on both days. Room was exceptionally hot, only had one window which you had to prop open as it wouldn’t stay open on its own.

Good size room. Comfortable bed. Some kitchen facilities. Good communication.

Breakfast disappointed because there wasn't any but was stated there was

Room was clean and a good welcome.

Just need to be able to open the windows in the room. Hopefully that can be sorted.

WiFi good and room clean and comfortable I managed to lock myself out of my room and the hosts dropped off a spare key

Pub closed and looked derelict- sandbags outside and rotting windowsills and peeling rendered walls - entrance via back yard full of junk and did not meet host as self checkin. Only advised last minute that the kitchen and pub was closed so had to walk to opposite end of docks to find somewhere to eat. Answering machine for pub is located in the kitchenette and peeped all night so had little sleep.

It was very clean, very homely and the staff are absolutely fantastic
