Quinta Santa Anita

The staff were very nice and while the hotel is downtown Playa del Carmen, it is in a quiet area. It is your basic OYO hotel, clean comfy beds, reception and 24 hour security, daily housekeeping, free drinking water / coffee, hot showers with good water pressure, small fridge and very good internet. The person at reception spoke good English and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Good old Mexican hospitality!

Great location and clean room

No 24/7 reception On our 2nd night there a big group checked in at 11.30 pm and stayed for a while right outside of our room making a huge noise and same at their check out time at 5 am !! There should be someone at the reception to prevent this from happening !! Impossible to sleep

The room was lovely, big with two large comfortable beds. We stayed just for a night so I can't say much but the check in process and the location was great for us.

The bathroom could use a refurbishment as the wood was quite chipping away. A few mosquitos we had to battle but this was an overall issue in Mexico in general. Nothing really negative to say.

Room was a bit small. A/C didn't work properly right away. But they got it going.

I often stay here. Location is ideal near to big supermarkets, a 10 minute walk to the beach and to one of the ADO bus stations. Rooms are always cleaned and are comfortable. Staff are very pleasant. Would stay again!

The hotel is in very good location, in walking distance to the touristic area of Avenida 5 and very close to a bus terminal, Walmart and other facilitites. Staff is very friendly and nice. Beds are comfortable and the room is cleaned every day.

The hotel is very noisy. I am a bad sleeper and I asked for a quiet room. I got a room on the 1st floor over the reception from the street side. I stayed 5 days in this room and it was impossible for me to sleep. One night there was a very loud party 10 meters from the hotel till 4 am and the receptionist did nothing about it. Another night a family was moving out at 5 am shouting and slamming doors (and waking everybody up). I asked for another room and it took 5 days to find one. It was on the 3rd floor, which was quieter, but one day again there was a party just in the room next door - and again, no reaction from the staff, I had to ask these guests to be quiet. Generally guests often talk loud and come with kids and families. In the room there was a small table, but no chairs and just one shelf to put clothes on - if there is a family I have no idea where they will put their clothes or sit. No breakfast option, kitchen or kettle so my breakfast was just a joghurt as I could not prepare anything else.
