Historic buildings. Beautiful gardens. Friendly and helpful staff.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable but at this price point I was expecting more luxury.

I loved the room, super cozy and light. The bed was very comfy and I had a fantastic sleep. Good facilities such as the toiletries and nespresso in room. The building itself was stunning and the views around the hotel were second to none. Great room service, I asked for a shaving kit at 11pm and was given it straight away.

The hdmi/usb A port didn’t work in the room. It was a nice touch to have this so it’s a shame it didn’t work. I would have liked milk for the coffee and a mini fridge would have been a nice touch. One of the lamps didn’t work. It would have been nice if the windows opened to let in some fresh air but I think the aircon helps make that less of an issue. My main criticism of the hotel was the coffee at breakfast. I ordered a cappuccino and my colleague ordered a black coffee and both were not nice. I would expect a barista quality coffee at such a nice hotel but instead the black coffee tasted like instant and the cappucino just tasted like it was out of a machine. I really enjoy a morning coffee so that was a disappointment.
