Food was great, spa was amazing, room, buildings and grounds excellent and the staff are 20 out of 10

I ordered the selection of cheeses for desert, not to my taste and not great value for money considering it's half the price of a fillet steak meal. Had the gelato instead which was £7 and amazing

"Great place for a short stay"

Beautiful surroundings and fabulous historic building

As is often the case, more bar staff needed. The poor girl working in the bar was also covering the bar restaurant. She was so busy, but always had a smile on her face and apologised for our wait. Also the roads to access the hotel are very narrow and lots of potholes. Obviously this is not the hotel’s responsibility but detracts from the appeal of the property
