Log Cabin

Quietness and cleanliness and decor.

Position of bed was awkward for partner on inside to clamber over.

The log cabin was exactly what I needed for my stay. I knew I would arrive late at night, but this was no problem as entry is provided via a key safe. Parking is plentiful and accessed from the rear of the property, so there was no danger of disturbing others by turning up late. The cabin is entirely self-contained but very well appointed with a separate bedroom, modern bathroom and spacious kitchen / sitting room area. As I was leaving the next morning, I rather underused what was available. However, I can heartily recommend the Joiners Arms in town, which was friendly and welcoming, as well as serving good beer until midnight.

In retrospect, the sole disappointment was that I was only staying one night, and that circumstances meant I did not meet the property owner.

The area was quiet and closer to the Main road than expected. The taxi driver could have dropped me off at the corner of main road. The cabin was tastefully furnished and cosy, even with a small patio

Leaving before 7.30 by public transport mid-week is impossible, be prepared to walk to the town centre bus stop as taxis are buy with school runs.The walk is about 20 min, ok without heavy luggage. Please leave instructions where to turn on the hot water as not obvious to find. Wished I had time for breakfast on the patio

We were very impressed by the amount of space of the cosy cabin. Everything you need is there. Lovely comfy bed and all the equipment and bedding is good quality. Highly recommend this Bideford hideaway.

Very clean, very cosy. I hiked the South West Coast Path and Frances was a real trail angel by offering me to do laundry and giving me a lift to the supermarket. She's a very sweet person and I enjoyed the stay a lot. The bed was the best!

Very lovely setting in a garden, easy to find, clean & cosy. It was a great place to stop for a night during a walk of the Tarka trail from Barnstaple to Okehampton.

Great to have off street parking. Yes it’s down a narrow road (looks like a path) but great instructions sent with the booking. Little veranda for alfresco dinning. Comfy bed. Great standard of bathroom and lovely shower. Friendly and helpful host.
