White Swan Cottage

We liked the open plan layout downstairs, lovely big corner sofa

the small bedroom ensuite was small and there was not much room to manoeuvre, could only watch internet TV as the signal was poor, could do with king size quilt on the double beds as my husband and I were fighting for the quilt.

Great location and a super place to stop with our dog

This was an extremely comfortable stay, ideal for couples or friends (as both double bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms). The cottage is right at the back of the White Swan car park- so very quiet. We had both dinner and our breakfast in the pub. It's a very friendly, welcoming place. The young man covering the bar & restaurant on Monday night was brilliant. He worked so hard to keep everyone happy. We enjoyed the pie. We hope to come again, as it was such good value and so close to the wonderful Bempton Cliffs bird reserve.

Very comfortable for a short stay. Very clean. Loved that it was 2 en suite rooms.

Needed another handrail at the top of the stairs. My elderly father struggled to get down.

Plenty of space, both bedrooms had bathrooms and television, there was a downstairs toilet, well equipped kitchen and large lounge area with decent sized TV. Excellent parking in the adjacent pub carpark.

Being a keen'ish DIY'er, I would fine tune some of the doors and kitchen units but that's just being a bit picky.

Great location, friendly staff, had everything you needed

Looks nice from the ourmtside. Location was in a car park, not a great view. Surrounds were comfortable, close to the pub.

Musty smell on the ground floor. The kitchen could have been stocked better and the boiler didn't work initially. The cottage needs some TLC as there was paint flaked on the walls, leak marks on the ceiling and the plaster was falling from a previous leak, the counter next to the kitchen sink was unsupported and bowing. The en suite on one of the bathrooms leaked, after using the shower through the light fitting in the kitchen below. The company staff were quick to get a tradesman to look at it and apply a quick fix to get us through.

Lovely cottage with everything you need. Great breakfast in the pub cooked and served by an wonderful lady, for which nothing seemed too much trouble. She went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed and food was delicious. Young man who greeted us last night and showed us to the cottage was lovely too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lot of cobwebs in one of the bedrooms with spiders attached! However, it is an old building so not major complaint.
