The lounges and dining room are superb very comfortable with fabulous views of the fells. Our bedroom was very clean with a very comfy bed and lovely towels.

The bedroom could do with some improvements I.e. the bathroom, our sink had a crack in it and the hot tap was a bit loose. It definitely needs updating.

The location is perfect a little way out of the town with a lovely park and playing field on the hotel approach road. The room we had was lovely overlooking the gardens. It was clean and spacious with good quality toiletries, towels and towels. The bed was comfortable. The food was very good with plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner. The staff were attentive and very friendly

Parts of the building and interior were looking at bit tired and in need of some attention especially around the windows. We also thought the reception could do with a facelift. Perhaps this is due to the fact the hotel is actually up for sale. Hopefully any new owners will address these issues while keeping the integrity of the property .

The imposing Keswick Country House Hotel, stands in its own well manicured grounds and still retains a lot of very old period features, both inside and out. The hotel does offer a fine dining experience if that’s your thing. Our room 115 was spotless and very quiet providing a good sized living space with a super comfortable king sized bed, modern tv, a room kettle and a lot of individual milk,tea and coffee packets including two individual packs of quality biscuits that were replaced every day during our two nights stay. The wardrobe was a decent size and the large single sash window provided plenty of natural light with heavy duty curtains that did the job perfectly well in keeping the room dark enough for sleeping. The bathroom had a large bath with a useful rubber bath mat provided, a modern fitted wall shower that was extremely powerful and easy to operate. Wall mounted Soap dispensers at both ends of the bath tub, with another at the wash basin held good quality liquid soap and all the towels supplied were a bright white,clean and soft on the skin. A Hair dryer can be found in the desk drawer near the bedroom window. The hotel is located next to the town’s leisure centre and some very nice local parks…that are well worth visiting. It is a short leisurely stroll into the town centre shops, restaurants and bars. Parking is free in the hotel car park or adjacent access road. Simply,register your vehicles registration number with the hotel receptionist on arrival and display the information card on your dashboard until checkout.
