"Lovely hotel, good good and excellent location.."

Lovely food, great location, the room was beautifully serviced each day.

Our room was very disappointing we had no view at all, just the side of the building. Not what we expected for the price.

"Great stay in a wonderful setting"

The building is beautiful, the setting more so. Great location, fantastic grounds, comfortable beds, good bar, good restaurant menu. All round lovely.

The lack of air-conditioning or fan in the room was a slight issue as it was fairly hot. I recognise the challenges with this, but something needs doing.

"Splendid revisit after 30 years - love the building location and food!"

Wonderful catering staff both friendly and efficient.

Housekeeping staff not very helpful on the towel renewal protocol- tried to convey the message and although reception staff apologetic the message didn’t get through.Disappointing.

"As a whole, the hotel is ‘passable’, staff were ok and … take your own coffee flask if you’re not having breakfast !"

Nice location and large room size.

The hotel needs a makeover, very tired decor, fixtures and finishes. Didn’t want breakfast in the morning and asked for just a cup of coffee instead… we were directed to a cafe in the village because the team couldn’t decide how to charge us for just having coffee instead of a full breakfast !!

It is dated... requires new beds and nicer pillows... take out the tubs for showers
