A beautiful and Valuable Location.

We are return visitors to Sri Lanka and Kandy, and can recommend this as the best place to stay in the entire nation. Tremendously good value. Jaliya and Sharma, our hosts, are the kindest, warmest people you could hope to encounter. Nothing was ever too difficult. They assisted with arranging transport, and even facilitating and hosting our local friends for an extended day visit to their home, Sharma consistently provided the most AMAZING food, and Jaliya was always on hand to assist with laughing, philosophical, historical and cultural discussions. There home is very clean, beautiful and surrounded by verdant gardens. It is a short distance from the busy streets of Kandy, in a quiet area where you will experience the friendliness of an authentic Sri Lankan neighbourhood. Do yourself a favour and book to stay here. We had the pleasure of staying here for 9 days, but wished it was for 90 days. Thank you Jaliya and Sharma, we miss you already.

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt! Jaliya und seine Frau sind unglaublich herzlich und haben uns sofort willkommen fühlen lassen. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber, das Bett sehr bequem. Die Unterkunft liegt wunderbar ruhig und im Grünen, perfekt zum Entspannen. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, dafür aber einen Ventilator, der für uns völlig ausreichend war. Sehr praktisch ist auch der Parkplatz direkt auf dem Grundstück – ideal, da wir mit dem Tuk Tuk unterwegs waren. Kandy ist in etwa 30 Minuten erreichbar, was super ist, um Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen (z. B. mit PickMe problemlos möglich). Alles in allem lohnt sich diese Unterkunft absolut – vor allem wegen der ruhigen Lage, der Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber und dem unschlagbaren Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Ein kleiner Hinweis: Die Straße zur Unterkunft ist auf den letzten 350 m sehr steil. Mit dem Tuk Tuk im ersten Gang aber gut machbar.

Big, beautiful space, balcony was great.

Wir haben eine Nacht dort verbracht. Es war ein wunderschöner ruhiger Rückzugsort auf einem Berg, abseits des Trubels von Kandy. Das Dinner und Frühstück war sehr lecker und ist zu empfehlen. Die Gastgeber sind super lieb und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

I had the pleasure of staying at KANDY HOME STAY with my family for a night during our holiday in Sri Lanka, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the house owner welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality. His cordial and friendly nature made us feel at home instantly, and we truly enjoyed his company throughout our stay. In terms of services, I can say without hesitation that everything was excellent. The guest house is beautifully located on top of a hill, offering breathtaking scenic views and a wonderfully quiet environment. The morning view, in particular, was simply unimaginable and left us in awe. The interior of the home is uniquely decorated, creating a cozy and charming atmosphere. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay, it was both delicious and authentically Sri Lankan. I especially loved the Lemon Coffee, which was a new experience for me, unique, refreshing, and very tasty! Overall, our short stay at KANDY HOME STAY was nothing less than perfect. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all travelers from Bangladesh and around the world who plan to visit Kandy. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed!
