EVERYTHING! Can't stop saying nice things about this property and the owner. The cleanest rooms, welcoming owner, the dinner they serve is also amazing and richer than the restaurants offer. He also has bikes you can borrow to stroll around the lakes, he offers you tea and coffee during the day, he lends you binoculars...one evening they spotted this cute owl near the property and he called us if we wanted to come see it...just soooo attentive, I wish we could stay there longer! Oh and the driver he recommended for the Yala safari was also great.

I made a booking here after I have read all the amazing reviews and I’m so glad I did. Nalin is such a nice person and just an amazing host! He contacted us after booking and we always stayed in touch. He was happy to help us with anything we needed and always provided with great tips and info. We were really touched with his hospitality. They cooked a great dinner just was for us that was included in the stay and it was soo good! Their house is beautiful, new, very clean. WiFi worked good. They even met us with welcome drinks and Nalin woke up at 4am to make a tea before our safari. Tissa itself is so beautiful town that is really worth visiting not only for Yala. We wish we could stay longer, we hope to come back again! Thank you very much Nalin 😊

Best guest house owner you will ever come across. Don’t hesitate and booked this stay! Nalin and his family not only provided dinner and breakfast, but also organized an amazing half day safari for me and on top of that showed me around the local lakes and nature. It’s a breathtaking environment you don’t want to miss!

Without a doubt the best accommodation where we stayed for 28 days in Sri Lanka. As already mentioned in other reviews, we felt that we were in a 5* hotel, from the people, to the accommodation, the cleanliness, the food and the attention to detail, everything was perfect. This is a genuine review that I hope will contribute to the growth of this small business.

Black Panther is the reason I like to stay in well run family hotels. Exceptional service! I’m not exaggerating. We stayed at a 5star hotel in Ella prior for 2nights and the service provided by the owner Nalin is comparable or better as he will personally cater to your needs as requested. The place is clean, the room we stayed in was a good size, had a clean comfortable bed, shower has hot water, good air conditioning kept room at perfect temp, and strong WiFi throughout the whole property. Food prepared by Nalin and his wife is delicious. Also the hotel is located close to Debarawewa lake which is full of birds and saw several crocodiles along the edge of the lake. Tissa lake with even more birds and fruit bats is a short tuk tuk ride away which the host can arrange. Great communication via Whatsup before arrival. Host can arrange transportation from Ella or Mirissa for a fair price as well.

Words cant describe how kind this host and his family are! 100/10 So helpful, at our service the whole time. The room itself was so clean and comfy. Not to mention the dinner which was also delicious and included in the price.

The host and family were so warm welcoming and friendly. He made sure we had everything we need. The dinner which is included in the price was the best Sri Lankan food we had eaten in our 20 days in the country. Ali explained everything to us, what was in the dishes and how they were cooked. It was delicious. The rooms were clean and spacious. There is good sit out space. He brought us tea in the afternoon. I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you for making us so welcome.

Good Rooms, Good foods, The owner (Mr. Nalin ) is very kind and so helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and we had a very delicious dinner. Place exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.
