This was by far the best home stay experience in Sri Lanka! Nalin and his family are so nice, the dinners are huge and are a delicious variety of local Sri Lankan food. The rooms are comfortable and located within 5 min walk to a beautiful lake. An absolutely great experience with incredibly hosts. Nalin’s customer service is nothing short of amazing. I would highly recommend staying here.

10/10! It’s difficult to find the words for Nalin as a host… Not only does he take care of every last detail to make sure you feel truly special as a guest, but he will go out of his way to assist and help you with everything he can. In our case, we arrived late and he had the most amazing banquet Sri Lankan dinner prepared for us, we felt like we were in a fine dining luxury meal tasting. Nalin had organized us a Safari for the next morning with ensuring us a great driver, the best seats, and packed us the best breakfast to take with us. He even made us coffee at 4am!!! After the Safari Nalin’s wife brought us a fresh fruit juice, Nalin madr us coffee, and then took us around his town to visit several lakes, see crocodiles, meet a lot of his family, and even took us to a Buddhist temple. During the whole stay Nalin never ceased to astonish us with his patience and attention to detail, while teaching us so much knowledge about Sri lankan history, culture, flora & fauna, Buddhism, etc. Honestly, it is impossible to do better. Rest assured that staying at Black Panther will be one of the best experiences of your journey :):

Beautiful place and beautiful people. We had a very warm welcome, with a rich dinner of local cousine. The room and bathroom were really clean and the bed very comfortable. We were also impressed by how clean and well-maintained the exterior was. They also had flexible check out, and in addition, delicious refreshment drinks were waiting for us after the safari. Everything was perfect and the hospitality of the owners made it even better. We are truly thankful and wish you only the best! Mike & Elpida

Nothing we didn't like, maybe if you don't have your own transportation (we had a tuktuk) less ideal location because not within walking distance of centre. On the other hand nature closeby, so a trade off

The owner is a very polite and helpful man. He responded to questions and concerns very quickly and comprehensively. He helps with finding a good company for a safari and transport to other places. The rooms are clean and good. The included dinner was incredibly delicious.

Probably the best stay I have had in Sri Lanka, owner is a great guy, with so much knowledge of the area and history. The service is exceptional, i could wash my clothes for free, also gave free water and cold juices, and organised a safari. His wife cooks amazing food with great portions! I also had breakfast which isn’t included but a great price for what you get. Dinner is included and was amazing. Room and bathroom was very clean. He also took me to the bus stop and told me which bus to get on! Location is good- short walk from a nice lake. Room even had a TV and wifi works well!

We had the most incredible stay here at Black Panther. Nalin, his wife and his family are all so friendly and made us feel right at home. Nalin was extremely helpful and accomodating. He arranged the most amazing safari in Yala for us and ensured we had a fantastic driver, which allowed us to have the best experience possible. He also helped to book us onto one of the buses for our journey onto Ella, which was very helpful. What stood out the most was the absolutely delicious dinner and breakfast cooked by Nalin's wife - definitely some of the best and most authentic Sri Lankan food we've eaten!!! We couldn't be more thankful for our stay here and would definitely recommend everyone to stay here during your trip to Yala!

We loved everything about our stay with Nalin and his family at Black Panther. From the minute we walked through the door, we were treated like family and they went above and beyond to help make our stay the best possible. The home cooked dinners everyday were a particular highlight, with plenty of choice and delicious treats to choose from. The room was spacious and super clean and comfortable. One of us was ill during our stay, and Nalin went out of his way to make us comfortable and make sure we had medicine and more. We also enjoyed a walking safari and outside dinner organised by Nalin, where we were joined by local guides who took us on a tour of the forest and even showed us some local cooking. It was really interesting and a lot of fun. Nalin and his family gave us the best stay in Yala and we hope to come back one day!

There was nothing we didn't like, it's a fantastic place to stay.
