An Reimse

This property should never be listed as a guest house/b&b. I have attached photos to show the reasons why. I messaged the owner before we arrived to check that both double rooms had private bathrooms. The owner stated that 1 did and 1 was being refurbished and hopefully ready on our arrival. They offered use of their private bathroom if the en-suite was not ready. The en-suite had not even been started and looked like a dumping room. I was not happy at all to be sharing the owners bathroom, not only because he would also be using it but because it was unclean and pretty disgusting with damaged items. I had to repeatedly ask the owner for things which should have been provided on arrival and were not, towels, milk, hairdryer, tv remote, a key to my door, etc. my bed was made out of sawn wood which causes splinters. The bedding did not smell clean. The bins had rubbish already in. There were dirty marks all over the carpets in both rooms and a ball of hair under my bed. The view from my window was of the conservertory which was full up with stuff. This property is more like a halfway house or house share. This propert needs removing off this site.

the coffee machine was good and made both hot and cold coffee, too bad there were only two capsules. The bed was comfortable.

I stayed in a room with a fireplace, where you could clearly see that someone had used it very recently, there was ash all over the floor, the room was very dirty. The light wouldn't come on properly, you had to punch it to get it to work. The owner, despite being at home, refused to introduce himself and show me the room and its accesses. The booking clearly stated that it was a room with a private bathroom. when I got there I had to share it with three other couples. The two days I spent there i didn't see anyone cleaning it properly, there were always dirty towels on the bathroom floor and also on the towel rail. The last day in the morning there was no gas to take a hot shower. The problem wasn't solved, even though the owner said it was, it was half past ten and I had to take a cold shower to get away of this nightmare.

Very comfortable

An idyllic setting, a hidden gem, yet not to far from more central locations. The host was friendly and came to the room to introduce himself. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the room very clean., had its own portable fridge and cooking facilities. I would have preferred a room with a proper window, not looking onto the poolroom so had to keep the blind shut for privacy reasons and when i booked said i would have my own private bathroom which wasn't the case, howevet the shared bathroom had a bath and shower and was very clean. Also on booking said i would have a hairdryer but no hairdryer. Overall though would still give it a ten out of ten

All things been equal

The decor, very chic from the outlook. The heating was adequate.

I had requested for a separate washroom, only for my use. The owner said it was. But on arrival I found the washroom was shared and not clean at all.
