There was a nice dog out the front. Unfortunately he was locked in a cage and left on his own without food or water while the owner was away.

Room wasn’t as described.room was missing features and wasn’t cleaned. When I sent the owner proof of this he agreed to a change of room. I was already upset at the mixup. So I decided to go home under the agreement I’d receive my money back. The next day the owner accused me of “staging a video” for some unknown reason. He was obsessed with the claim that the room wasn’t clean (it wasn’t) but my main concern was that I paid for a room with a bath in it, and there simply was no bath. He offered a change of room but legally I don’t have to accept compensation. All I wanted was my money back. Yet he acted like I was attacking his business. The final text is one between him and the individual who “cleaned the room”. I can almost guarantee that he will reply to this review and try and spin me as a bad faith customer, I simply wanted what I paid for, apparently that’s too much to ask for at an reimse.

This location provided a more affordable option for traveling with our college student child. Hotels in the city require a second room with a third adult, so this option was helpful. Also, having a small kitchenette in the room meant we could get our own food at the market, which is a better option than a hotel in town and having to buy restaurant food for each meal. The owner has a small cat, maybe just a kitten, that we saw a couple of times. We believe it was the friendliest cat we have ever met. It had a brand new air fryer/oven in the room as well which was very helpful for heating a frozen pizza (after we cut it into smaller pieces that would fit in the unit). The en suite bathroom for our room was a good size.

This location is a work in progress. It would be helpful to have cards in the room to explain the internet, how to handle the trash, etc., things that matter to travelers (especially foreigners like ourselves who are unfamiliar with local customs like trash and recycling). The toilet had no lid which is surprisingly disconcerting because I was always afraid of dropping something in it! The only place to put anything like toothpaste was on the windowsill directly above the toilet, increasing my fear! The bathroom is large enough that a small shelving unit between the toilet and the sink would be VERY helpful. However, I realize it is a room in someone's home and I am paying a lot less than in town. These items are small and unimportant to my overall stay. Overall, the negatives of this property are minor compared to the positives.

I booked last minute and they accommodated me during a busy time of year.

The room smelt very bad, it wasn’t clean and the ‘en-suite’ was still being built. The sheets didn’t smell or look clean, the carpet was stained and the shared bathroom was not clean or maintained. I’m usually not too fussy about rooms but even for me this one was quite grim. I would have left but everywhere was fully booked for show week.

it's advertised giving the impression the rooms are en suite, they are not, we had a cupboard with rubble and pipes, God knows how a space so small will ever become an en suite! we shared 1 bathroom with 5 other guests, 3 times my partner went to use the bathroom in the night and someone was in there, extremely annoying and unhygienic, having to walk about the whole place waiting, the bathroom also appears to be used by either permanent residents or the host as personal items are stored in there and it's really not very clean!! our bed frame was also made out of pallets, badly, the mattress did not fit the frame, and I got a splinter from it, I like rustic but that's ridiculous!! never again, I'll sleep in the car, and wee in a bush 1st!!
