Amazing location by York Minster right on the edge of the many cobbled streets, boutique shops and attractions. The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of room for us all to sit, chat and cook Sunday lunch together before eating in the dining room. The lounge was spacious and comfortable with great views. The bedrooms all had good quality furnishings and were comfy too. Good wifi throughout the property.

It would have been nice to have some information about the history of the house

Outstanding location right next to the minster in the heart of the city with parking close by. Loved the old world charm of the property with the addition of a modern kitchen and comfy living room.

The single bedroom is really a very large cupboard. It has no window nor hanging space. It wasn't a problem for us since our daughter embraced the Harry Potteresque experience but others might find it limiting.

Central location, large room sizes, full of character, large well equipped kitchen, views of the Minster and Treasurer's House and gardens, quiet - considering central location, a nice touch - ground coffee & cakes on arrival!

Upstairs shower, either very hot or cold, difficult to control temperature

The location couldn't be better - central yet silent at night! Wonderful spaces, quirky and full of character. Great for family, some lovely social space in the living areas, and the pool room for when the teens wanted time away. The Harry Potter room is a delight. The cake and coffee were fab and we all totally loved the place. Communication with host was excellent and they were very helpful when we were trapped in York as storm Babet stopped our return to Scotland.

Nothing really but have a couple of suggestions/ expectations from a property in this price bracket. The main 4 poster bed was very hard, I slept badly and it would benefit from a topper. The wonderful age of the building means the stairs and floors are uneven and hazardous when needing a loo trip at night, a plug in night light would be helpful at the top of the stairs. There were no dishwasher tablets and only one bin bag - we had to buy both.

The location and accommodation was excellent .

We all loved the location. We also loved how the owners have kept the character of the property. It was very clean and spacious for our group.

These are what our group felt needs to be mentioned. We would have liked to have had milk for when we arrived rather than cakes. No tea towel, the Harry Potter room was not hoovered under the bed, there was no light working on the long standing lamp in the dining room,faulty ceiling light in dining room kept flickering and going out. The steps on 3rd floor were dangerous and needs some form of warning e.g carpet bars. Windows needs cleaning as well as the bottom of the oven. No lock on top floor bathroom and bath panel is not fitted therefore kept coming out.
