Pietra Campana Italian Villa Orvieto

It was beautiful there! And so close to Orvieto. There was a beautiful view of the town from the property. The entire staff was wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer

All I can say is OMG. This place is absolutely stunning. The views are breathtaking . You can see Orvieto and the cathedral from the hotel grounds .

We stayed at Pietra Campana a few years ago and loved it. It has a new owner now, but it certainly did not disappoint. Every member of the staff was friendly and very helpful. Especially Valentina, who was an exceptional hostess. She helped us carry our bags (a lot of them) up to our Suite, and not only recommended some great restaurants, she made our dinner reservations. That was huge for us, and so appreciated - Grazie Mille Valentina! We shared a beautiful Superior Suite with friends and it was perfect for two couples. It has a huge beautiful bathroom, two large bedrooms and a great living area. It's a perfect space to come back to after a day of exploring to relax, have a glass of wine and enjoy the absolutely stunning view. One that is shared with both of the bedrooms. I cannot imagine that there would be a better view of Orvieto from anywhere. We enjoyed strolling around the property. The grounds are impeccably tended with literally dozens of beautiful rose bushes. And, breakfast was excellent. Do not miss a chance to stay here. We didn't want to leave and hope to return very soon.

We loved learning about the history of this incredible home! The location can't be beat as it sits overlooking the historical town of Orvieto, only a short drive away. There is another beautiful, historical town that sits on a hilltop only accessible by foot bridge called Civita, another must-see. There is so much to see and do in the area, including cave tours. If you'd rather a quiet, peaceful place to enjoy the surroundings, this is the place for you! There is a beautiful pool and hot tub, a patio area as well as an outdoor sitting area for those warmer days. There is a lovely area inside to curl up and wat h TV or read if you wish, and the bedroom is gorgeous, filled with amazing history with original 18th-century charm still in place.

This was our first time to Orvieto. This property is at the top of a small mountain facing the village. Wonderful view, especially in the morning with the sun at low angle. The room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast had many options, and they will cook for you if you wish. We had a car, there was plenty of parking. The owners were at the property while we were there and provided us with lots of information and conversation. Very nice place, but best it is about a 2 mile drive into the village. If your not driving to Orvieto, you may want to consider staying in town.

The view and the service was amazing! The people that worked there could not have been nicer, always wanting to help with everything!!!
