Rosegarth Bed and Breakfast

Very clean and tidy. Quiet. Libby is a wonderful host. Restaurant quality food and lots of it. You have your own private area. Great location to explore the area from, Whitby and Scarborough less than an hour away, Pickering, Castle Howard about half an hour or less. We would definitely stay again.

This was our second visit to Rosegarth, and again, it didn't disappoint. The room is spotless, with plenty of tea/coffee, and we love having the little bottles of fresh milk. There's a superb shower and soft fluffy towels together with plenty of toiletries. Libby is the perfect host who goes out of her way to ensure you have everything you need. She provides an amazing cooked breakfast together with cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. Her home made plum jam was particularly tasty. We now look on Libby as a friend rather than a landlady. She has a warm, bubbly personality and is so easy to talk to. We will definitely be back. Thanks Libby. Harley sends his love!

Everything about Rosegarth was just right. Lobby, the host was friendly, bubbly,knowledgeable and the perfect host. The room was spotless with many things provided that went above what was expected. The breakfast Libby provided was the perfect start to the day and the amount of choice was amazing. All in all Rosegarth is one of the best places we have ever stayed.

I cannot think of anything that could have been provided to enhance our stay.

Wonderful host (Libby), terrific attention to detail throughout booking contact and during the stay. Supper and breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Thoroughly recommended.

Was welcomed into the property by Libby. Very bubbly and friendly. The room was absolutely perfect, and had everything in there that we need, such as all tea/coffee making facilities, storage for clothing and a nice bathroom area with shower and toilet. Libby made us feel very welcome whilst also giving us privacy within the private area of the property. Milk on arrival in the fridge to make a drink. Provided us with key so we were able to return to the property at a reasonable hour. Had a very comfortable sleep. Breakfast the day after was lovely and plentiful. Libby asked the night before what we would like for breakfast, and it didn't disappoint! We had fresh fruit and yogurts to choose from first, followed by a lovely full English breakfast which had everything on there. Nice fresh coffee and juice, and Libby even checked if we would like more. We were certainly full after it. Overall, I highly recommend the property and will return/book again next time we take a trip to Dalby Forest

Wow what a stunning bed and breakfast cottage. The room is immaculate, decorated lovely and a nice view from the window. Libby the host is so attentive and goes out of her way to make things just right. A wee gem of a place and in a beautiful quiet location.

The room was comfortable and of a high standard. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Our host was very helpful in making our stay a pleasant one recommending places to visit, and country pubs for lunch / dinner.3

There were no problems.

Breakfast was lovely as was the evening suppers, Libby simply couldn't do enough. Room was immaculately clean and in such a nice and peaceful location.

Own spacious entrance, autolit, with fridge (small freezer shelf) / Bed very good for comfort / Ensuite very good (with useful night light) / Overall spic and span / USB sockets / good Wifi / Pleasant hostess (Libby) / Very good breakfast (I’d suggest eyeing breakfast & meals menu beforehand to maximise your gastronomical delights). Food is served in your room.

Nescafe & Cadburys brands (some ban them; I’d bring Fairtrade coffee) / Bed (minor creaks can disturb in the small hours) / Ensuite (door creaks can disturb in the small hours: perhaps needs WD40).
