The Oceanfront Inn

Everything, especially the view. We visit this establishment every year in fact we loved it so much. We got married up there at Black Sands Beach. Most of Our wedding party stayed at there and fell in love with the property.

The view is amazing, and the sound of the ocean waves crashing along the shore ~ which we love.

We had stayed here four years ago, and we loved it, but sadly, over the years it has some wear and tear. We booked the Deluxe King Room OceanFront Balcony - room 32. Half of the window blind slats were gone, so we were woken early by the sunlight coming in, the smaller window was cracked, and there were no screens on the windows. Apparently, it looked like they did some wall work in the room, so you could see where it was patched up but not painted yet. There was no dresser to put your clothes on; I don't know if they forgot to put it back after fixing the wall. The two kitchen chairs were old, but had new removable covers on them. There was hair in the bathroom that was not ours. Fifteen minutes after checking in, I texted, sent a message thru booking.com, and emailed to get some help, but we didn't hear back until the night before we left. This could be an amazing hotel, it needs some TLC.

With all of our stuff we were always short on counter space in this room. The floor was weirdly soft in one location near the fridge The wifi was unusably bad. we had to use the cafe's wifi.

The location and views are amazing.

There were some mishaps on my stay. The blinds in my room were broken and I had to manually close each blind the best I could to have privacy. I was on the ground floor and traveling pregnant and alone so that didn’t make me feel super comfortable. And I was locked out of my room for several hours early in the morning with no way to get in because the electronic door code for keypad stopped working and there’s nobody that works onsite in the office to address issues. I had no phone or money to get help because it was locked in my room. Fortunately after an hour the coffee shop next door opened and I was able to wait in there and use someone’s telephone to call the office. I was advised by management to go in the office and try a tool that didn’t work and Provides additional codes that didn’t work, and then had to wait another 1-2 hours for help to arrive. They were responsive on the phone. But they need another backup plan. They offered me a 1hr late checkout. The housekeeper let me into my room and was very sweet.

Excellent view, privacy outside on deck, high ceilings, very clean. Customer service picked up the phone quickly when I called and were very polite even when I was being a bit stupid.

Nothing really. It is a little pricey given the furnishings and finishing, but that could also be due to the remoteness of the area and supply and demand.

Loved the location and the view. The stay was great.
