This will take place during daytime hours and should have minimal effect on your stay. Only refurbished rooms will be on sale to book although public areas will still be undergoing transformation during your stay. "Great value and the perfect base to explore the Lake District!"

We had a lovely stay! We had a triple room and it was spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing with both a huge bath and a great shower! The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, we had an email before explaining it, but it didn’t bother us at all as everything was still clean and well looked after. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order, served nice and hot, and the ladies at breakfast were super friendly and welcoming. All of the hotel staff were lovely, especially Angie, who was incredibly helpful and great to chat to. Amazing value for money and the perfect base for exploring the Lake District, we will definitely stay again!

Oh! What an absolute find. So close to everything we needed! Close to Ulverston and Windermere. The staff, Emily and Ian were so kind. The rooms were so clean and the bed super comfortable! The breakfast was absolutely delicious 😋 We cannot wait to return for a Guinness or two! Thank you 🤩

There are some maintenance work going on, to be honest it didn’t really affect us.

"Barrow ❤️"

Hotel was great value. Room was smallish but adequate for what we needed. Breakfast being included is a bonus and was a good offering with choice of options. Location is close to the town and retail parks. Short drive from the lakes. The staff were amazing, helpful, chatty and informative on the local area.

The carpet on the first floor does not give a good impression and does need replacing. There are signs up saying that the hotel is undergoing renovation work so it's understandable that theyd will wait until this is completed before this is done. Saniflow in the bathroom was noisy but appreciate options are limited for waste water removal in older properties that have been converted. The sausage on the breakfast could be better. Despite these small things we would definitely return.

"Wouldn’t stay again"

Location is in the middle of the town, parking right outside.

It smells, rooms need updating, stains all over the carpets, felt dirty.
