Hakone Onsen Ryokan Yaeikan

We really enjoyed our stay at Hakone Onsen Ryokan Yaeikan. The location is great with beautiful mountain views and convenient access to transportations. Our rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the private onsen which was definitely worth the extra money, the balcony with a beautiful view, and the amazing Japanese traditional dinner and breakfast provided by the property. The staff were friendly and can communicate well in English.

Traditionelles japanisches Gästehaus mit Onsen. Geräumige Zimmer und gutes Essen. Das Personal ist sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Wir hatten vorab ein vegetarisches Menü bestellt und es hat alles super geklappt.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Unser Zimmer hatte keine Dusche - hierfür musste man den Onsen Bereich nutzen. War aber kein Thema, da es zum Glück einen privaten Bereich gibt.

Really beautiful room and very scenic, peaceful location, we booked a river view room. The place is a bit run down but I thought it added charm. The meals were beautiful and the experience of being served in the room was great.

In retrospect I would have spent the extra money to book a room with private onsen. The bookable private onsen had very short timeslots, just 30 minutes per guest, and it was a packed schedule so they obviously didn't have time to drain the bath between guests which meant that the water actually was dirty with hair and pieces of skin, which obviously was very unpleasant and really unhygienic.

Die Atmosphäre, in eine andere Zeit eintauchen zu können.

Es war ein altes traditionelles Ryokan, an dem leider an der ein oder anderen Stelle der Zahn der Zeit genagt hat. Es könnte etwas mehr gepflegt sein, das Holz oder die Wände waren teilweise nicht mehr in einem guten Zustand. Aber alles in allem ein gelungener Aufenthalt.

Vi hade en jättefin vistelse här och det kändes verkligen som en speciell upplevelse att få bo på en traditionell ryokan. Tatamimattorna var förvånansvärt sköna att sova på och hela miljön gjorde att man verkligen fick känna av den japanska kulturen på riktigt. Middagen och frukosten som ingick var också något vi uppskattade mycket. Det var kul att få testa många nya japanska rätter och hela matupplevelsen kändes väldigt genuin. Rummet vi fick var mycket större än förväntat, nästan som en liten lägenhet med flera olika delar. Den privata onsen på nedervåningen var supermysig och utsikten utanför gjorde allt ännu bättre. Personalen var dessutom väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam under hela vistelsen. Vi är verkligen supernöjda och hade inte kunnat önska oss mycket mer.
