This was our second stay at the Cotteridge Inn while we were carrying out house repairs. The location is genuinely convenient: just one train stop from home, with restaurants and shops nearby, plus bus stops within easy walking distance.

This stay was nowhere near as comfortable as our previous visits. The toilet seat was broken, and one of the windows wouldn’t close properly, letting in constant cold draughts that chilled the bedroom throughout winter nights. Most concerning, I woke up with multiple bites consistent with bedbugs and later developed an allergic reaction that required a GP visit. As a precaution, we sanitised all our clothes when we left, worried about bringing anything home with us.

There are bed bugs we was bitten. The little one 2 years old was bitten as well.

It's in a working man's club so enjoyed a few cheeky cheap drinks.

The heating wasn't on in the room when we arrived. Warmed up with the heater but took ages
