Outstanding staff!!! Fabulous breakfast Amazing and delicious dinner Great shower and bathroom! I sing the praises to both Yuto and Yuto!! They were both respectful, considerate, congenial and went out of their ways to be helpful. We asked if they had time to pick us up at the ferry twice and they graciously obliged.

I could have used more instruction about what to expect and how to use the sauna. Precautions and safety concerns might have been discussed before partaking in the "sauna experience". I'd like to humbly suggest that a supervisor be available at all times, should an emergency occur.

Ce sont des bulles avec un super emplacement dans la nature et certaines chambres/bulles avec vue sur la mer!! Le sauna est incroyable avec une architecture a couper le souffle! Le personnel est extrêmement gentil et a beaucoup aidé notamment avec le transport des bagages qui est un problème sur l’île! Il n’y a que deux taxis sur l’île et les locations de vélo sont au port donc ou vous louez des vélos à votre arrivée et vous devez trouver une solution pour le transport des bagages! Ou vous marchez avec vos bagages qq km et vous revenez plus tard louer des vélos au port.

Pas assez de place quatre dans une bulle! Deux seraient idéale!

Gorgeous location, great rooms - very different and VERY Naoshima! We were pleasantly surprised by this spot and wish we had more than one night there. Will definitely return!! Give it a try - it’s comfortable and really different from a regular hotel.

We didn’t have the dinner or the breakfast so can’t speak to that.

One of the most special experiences I have ever had, as a backdrop for exploration of the equally special. I enjoyed as a couple in May of 2026 and was greeted by an exceptionally helpful and professional staff dedicated to the entire operation. The tents are very spacious and comfortable, with raised carpeted areas with slippers and lounging wear provided. Be sure to book your breakfast and dinner in advance with the property, as well as time in the gorgeous wooden sauna designed by Taichi Kuma of KKAA, a must with reservations required for the shared space. Note that the tent is air conditioned and heated, but during the day in direct sun can get a bit warm; others note a small gap between the window and the top of the curtain but we enjoyed that this allowed us to wake up with a bit of sunlight and still plenty of privacy. The tent has lighting and outlets, and the bathroom is quite a nice one with washet toilet and lovely shower products. Note that the meals are a good idea as the few restaurants in town are far. Dinner is in your own private space and it’s barbecue style—the food is provided but you do your own grilling; you can order a selection of additional food and beer and sake via QR code. After dinner a fire pit is lit, around which the guests of the seven tents can gather. The breakfast is cute and the staff was so wonderful to vary the selection of food for the two days we stayed. The Free WiFi is quite good. The Benesse House hotel fills up quickly but I found myself wishing to return here for my next trip. The staff is dedicated and has a great sense of humor.

Some complain about the warmth of the tent in direct heat despite the air conditioner; we weren’t bothered and also enjoyed the shared outdoor spaces and sea breeze. Would absolutely stay again.
