Room had not been cleaned for weeks, very dismal place.

When we arrived, the room wasn’t ready and cleaners were in the hallways shouting and banging on doors about other guests taking cushions and items from our room. We were checking in after check-in time and they were still cleaning, the floors were being mopped etc. I then called the number on Booking.com and spoke to Someone off site who said they were about to call me, which they hadn’t, and that they could move me to a different room. This room was very sad looking, cupboards and drawers were dirty, for example with dirty hairbrushes in. We were going to a surprise party so didn’t have time to complain further at the time as we were already late. It was just quite bleak in general and needs a lot of love. Fire doors are heavy and slammed during the night. The sink didn’t drain and there was toothpaste splatter on the sink. Fan didn’t work in the room and it was very hot! Bedsheets were stained.

GBLocation was good. Room was very nice. Bed comfy and shower was good.
The window was broken meaning that you either had to have it open all the way or totally shut. The blinds were also broken so they let in lots of light from the street which wasnt ideal. We messaged the owner about these problems and sent videos. The owners were responsive but totally unaware of the problems which seemed odd. They offered us a room swap which I accepted but then they stopped responding. Overall the room was fine but the window really needs to be fixed.
