A perfectly fine hotel. It was certainly at the more expensive end for a Saturday night but it was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and polite.

I absolutely understand it’s a Japanese thing to not check you in a minute before the stated check in time but for the price we paid and to arrive only 45minutes before the scheduled check in time, it was slightly frustrating to not have the rules bent a little. So far on our trip we had had the pleasure of unexpected early check-ins which really felt like a little bonus. The hotel doesn’t have direct access from the street and check in is on the 2nd floor so it was a little cumbersome with luggage.
