Nice hotel and good food

The price is too exorbitant and room was too small for us

Stunning hotel! Beautifully decorated. Very welcoming staff. In-room, private onsen was great. Room was very spacious and lovely. Private dining for Japanese kaiseki meal was delightful. Beautiful view over the lake to volcanoes in the distance. Shuttle bus service to the train station was very handy.

Next time I would pick the private dining for each night. I didn’t enjoy eating in the French restaurant as much. Dirty tables left uncleaned were rather off-putting. Would like to see more fresh fruit selection at breakfast.

This hotel was one of the most beautiful and luxurious hotels I’ve ever stayed in- our private in room onsen was unforgettable, we loved going in at dawn and dusk. The view of the lake was exquisite. The room was huge, with tatami area where I slept on a Japanese futon that was a fun experience. From the moment we arrived to the parking lot, we were treated like royalty- they parked our car, brought our bags to the room, had a private check in experience, and weeks before I had communicated all our dietary preferences for Lumiere the restaurant where you have dinner and breakfast. Our vegetarian dinner was exceptionally delicious, gorgeous presentation, abundant and just perfect. The views from the restaurant of the flowers outside are so beautiful . We enjoyed an amazing Harp concert the night we arrived, the free shuttle took us to see fireworks by the lake, and there were umbrellas we could use for free. There is beautiful art throughout the hotel, everywhere you turn, delicious clean smell everywhere, and the staff is exceptionally polite and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here even if you can only afford one night
