room was very clean. The design of the hotel was wonderful.

food was just ok. I wish there were more free items in the minibar and the lounge.

We had a lovely stay at this beautifully designed hotel in heavy snow. What stood out immediately was the friendly and accommodating staff. We had originally booked a room with a large open terrace and private onsen, but quickly realized the heavy snow made it a bit too chilly to step fully outside! The staff were incredibly helpful—they showed us alternative rooms and moved us to a suite with a semi-open private onsen on the balcony. This was perfect; the room was spacious, spotless, and very tidy. The dining experience was another highlight. Even though breakfast and dinner were in the same restaurant, the staff thoughtfully seated us in different spots. We especially loved the seating where both my husband and I could face the window together to watch the falling snow. The food variety was excellent. While the hotel is a short distance from the lake itself, the stunning design and warm hospitality make it a 10/10 stay.
