Reef Hotel Mombasa

I booked a sea view room. What I got was a room next to the reception pointing at a coconut tree. No sea to be seen. During check out the cashier that was present, seemed a little too unserious. He kept on asking me if I had paid. I told him that the payment was made at the day of the booking. He let me me stand there for a while, while he sat on the chair with his feet up. I had to ask him multiple times if everything was alright and if I could leave. Once I left the premises, I got an alert from my credit card company, stating that I was charged the initial booking fee that I had already paid.

Over all good but bathroom was too small

I chose this hotel for the location. The staff were very helpful and tried to find a quiet room for me.

Loud thumping music 24/7 either from the pool followed by the restaurant followed by the nightclub. Had to leave after two nights to get some rest. The rooms were also very run down broken cupboard doors rusty shower heads broken and mouldy tile in bathrooms. I could overlook the condition but not the noise.

The staff were friendly

The facilities are old, the rooms are not modern. The food was not good. The massage room was not clean. Did i get a value for my money? No
