Booked this room the day it appeared on booking.com so I was taking a risk as there was no reviews. The walk to the property is a little far out from the town, but it's plesesnt even when walking home at midnight as there is a nice cycle path and it's well lit. Access is via lock box and the host provides communication and videos on parking, access, etc. The apartment is small but perfect for our 4 days. It has a full clean kitchen, dining table, bathroom, and bedroom. I had forgot to leave the tourist tax before leaving but was able to communicate with the host to send it on to him via bank tranfer seemlessly. Host was communicatable with what was going on in La Spezia over the time we where there and offered good advice on local festivals.

The apartment does smell a little musky (possibly due to the old furnature) but there are plenty of air fresheneres and it really didn't bother us. Shower is quite small and close to the toilet but clean. We had a stinkbug (first time seeing one) one night that I was able to remove from the room, maybe some bug spray/tools would be good but these things happen everywhere.
