"A nice basic place to stay near the park"

Prashan is a good host. He arranged a safari for us and provided us with a wonderful cooking class. He was so accommodating with our different requests—start earlier, no wheat, vegetarian, can we make our own masala chai! The room was clean.

The 1.3 km drive to the property was difficult in our low clearance vehicle. The A/C took a long time to cool the room. The Wi-Fi needed to be stronger. Too much buffering while trying to stream video.

"Magical stay in a unique place."

The River Paradise is a truely magical place which fully lives up to its name. Its located in the middle of nothing, with some farmland around and is right next to a river. The place offers total peace. Prashan is an outstanding Host. He is very helpful and makes sure your stay is amazing. He organized 2 Safaris and some extra trips for us. He also took care of transport to and from the place at a very fair price. He also offers some cooking class in the evening, lunch and breakfast if you like. The acomodation is simple and VERY fair priced. You can see quite some wildlife (lots of birds) right from your hut. Its a unique place in a beautiful spot of nature.

Die Lage ist sehr schön und abgeschieden, man kann sich dort wunderbar zurückziehen und Prashan kümmert sich um alle Anliegen und ist eine richtige Bereicherung, da er sich mit der Tierwelt und den ganzen Pflanzen auskennt und sehr viele Kleinigkeiten am Standort gepflanzt hat. Ja, organisiert auf eine angenehme Weise alle Ausflüge und kümmert sich um die Verpflegung die Kochstunde war ein absolutes Highlight

Prashan was possibly our best host in Sri Lanka (and believe me we’ve had good ones). We did a great cooking class with him and he helped us get ready for the safari next morning. It was only one night but the meal we had after cooking was the most memorable meal of the holiday.
