Het is een prachtig park met een mooi zwembad erbij

Het huisje mocht wat beter gepoetst zijn en het bubbelbad waas heel smerig zodra de jets aangingen was het hele water vies

"Overall a great stay"

10.0

This was our first centre parcs experience and we were very impressed. We stayed as a family with young children during the last week of August. We stayed in the most basic accommodation ( I think it's called comfort) and we were happy with it. It felt pretty modern, well presented and had all the equipment you would need to cook for yourself if you wanted. The only thing we think could be explained better is the type of consumables you need to bring or buy for your stay. They give you a roll of toilet paper, 3 dishwasher tablets, a couple of cloths, a dishwasher sponge and a few small bin bags. Everything else you'll need to provide. This probably reflects or inexperience in self catered accommodation, but even something like a provided shopping list of what to bring would be an awesome touch. In regards to the towel and bed linen. For the comfort cottage they only provide duvets and pillows (the European style ones that are squarer - English pillow cases may not fit). My wife and I debated about bringing or hiring our own and in the end we decided to hire. Be prepared to spend about £90 for linen and towels for a family of four. For next time we would bring our own bath mat as well. The rest of the park is lovely. There's a good range of things to do, particularly for younger kids. We booked a pony ride for our older daughter and she loved it (probably the only thing that's worth booking in advance to avoid disappointment). The mini disco in the early evening was a hit. The aqua Mondo was great as well. Clean, well maintained and a good range of pools and slides. It was busy but didn't feel overcrowded. There's a good amount of life guards about. We didn't use the supermarket in the centre or try the restaurants so can't comment on that. There are a number of supermarkets all about 15 minutes away by car. Quite a few had the blue line parking system (you need what looks like a disabled parking card) so have a check of Google maps before you head out. Toverland down the road was great for a day trip as well - book in advance for a bit of a discount. Overall we had a lovely stay and would do centre parcs again.

"Nonnas Pizza and Pasta Restaurant staff."

2.0

This is just my view on the Nonnas Pizza and Pasta Restaurant staff. We visited today as a table of 12 and were greeted by a lovely waiter. He was paitent with us when ordering food and catered too our requirements and needs. Our food arrived, however there was a mistake within our order, the food waitress was very rude and unhelpful and suggested we just fix the issue ourselves instead of offering to help. We then were told that we could only share 3 pizza cutters between 12 of us, she spoke to me and my family in a rude manner and for that i do not recommend this restaurant if you don’t want to be treated with carelessness and disrespect by certain members of staff.

"What a fantastic week!"

10.0

This was our first time staying at a Center Parcs in Europe after having been to a couple in the UK. We were very impressed with the whole experience and would certainly return. Pros - cost of activities (so much cheaper than UK), access around park (very flat), range of activities (so many to choose from), bar and food options (varied and reasonably priced), size (not too big and easy to get around), all staff friendly and speak English, could get laundry done for about €7 washed, dried and delivered back to lodge. Good location to explore other places - we visited PSV Eindhoven and Efteling theme parks. Cons - some people don’t park their cars back in main car park which isn’t massive and the swimming pool not as big as other parks but good for younger children. Cars weren’t a huge issue though and we felt safe walking about the park. Overall we were very impressed and would either come back to Het Meerdal and certainly try other European center Parcs. It was a lovely experience and we made lots of happy memories with our family.

"Great trip"

10.0

Brilliant trip. We stayed as a family of 6 (children age 15, 13, 6 and 1) in a Premium Cottage. The lodge was well equipped and there was more than enough space for us all. The combi oven / microwave is easy to work - we used it everyday! There are lots of activities, ours enjoyed the High Ropes, Laser Quest, Pony Ride, Bowling & Bungee Trampolines. The zip line looked great but apparently it gets booked up very quickly. The teenagers enjoyed sunbathing on the loungers at the lodge and on the beach! We all enjoyed the swimming (our 6 year old especially). We ate at Everygreenz 3 evenings and thought the food was great, especially the deserts and cold salads. The children enjoyed that the pancakes were made in front of them. Lots of the tip advisor reviews seem mixed but we honestly had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to go back! 2 slight negatives; the lodges do get very warm in the hot weather though! I would avoid the arcades / game room if I went back as you have to purchase a game card & add credits to play - the minimum top up amount seemed expensive for very little return. We flew to Eindhoven Airport and hired a van. Hey Meerdal was a 50 minute drive. We did visit Toverland and Beekse Bergen as day trips and would recommend both.

"“Fine” but not for us."

6.0

We stayed for 7 nights at Het Meerdal, our first experience of the Center Parcs brand despite being from the UK. The cottage itself was overall “fine” but no more than a 3-star standard. On arrival the outside looked a little grubby and not particularly welcoming, though the décor inside was more modern. The beds were adequate but not especially comfortable, and it’s worth noting that all are singles – not zip-and-link – with bedding to match. Our outside area was unfortunately littered with rubbish and cigarette butts, which we later realised likely came from the housekeeping team, who smoked outside whilst cleaning the. Ext door cottage. The cottage also felt musty and, with no air conditioning, the temperature was hard to manage in the summer heat. The space felt quite dark, with a layout/configuration cottage to cottage that felt quite hemmed in and lacking in space. Around the park, the communal areas and facilities felt rather tired and the whole place seemed understaffed, which impacted the overall atmosphere. It would also be nice to see a General Manager presence in the common areas, along with a more active maintenance team for the grounds, which would really lift the overall experience. With our children aged 13 and 10, we struggled to find much that suited their age group, so we feel the park is probably best enjoyed by families with younger children (around ages 3–8). Aqua Mundo was a great hit, but it’s only really the rapids that are any good and there’s only so many times you can go around them! On the positive side, the wristband system for cottage access and activities was excellent, and hiring bikes was a highlight – we enjoyed a 20-mile ride through the beautiful surrounding countryside. We’d also recommend day trips to Irrland and Arcen, both within easy reach of the park. In summary, while there were some enjoyable aspects, Het Meerdal wasn’t the right fit for our family and isn’t somewhere we’d rush back to or recommend.

"Sehr schön ………. und teuer……"

8.0
