The Moose Weligama

The place was super neat and modern. The room was spacious, private, and really comfortable. The swimming pool was a perfect spot for some relaxing. The location is a bit outside the center, but it’s very easy to reach by bike, which you can conveniently rent directly on-site. The host is great! Very welcoming and really makes an effort to make you feel at home. You can reach out to them almost anytime, which is super helpful. I’d highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful large house with cute swimming pool, set in a luxuriant garden - very quiet location. Good, strong hot shower. We could use the small kitchen area. Agreeable roof top. A 20 minute walk to town centre and beach fish restaurants. A tuk tuk be arranged if needed (500 rupees). Very helpful owner.

Amazing staff, really nice room, everything maintained to a very high standard including the lovely pool.

It was the best accomodation during our trip on Sri Lanka! Very clean room, comfortable bed, bathroom with western shower and good water pressure. Fast WiFi, nice pool. Very hospitable and helpful owner.. Hotel is located around 15 minutes of walking to the beach, in quiet and green neighborhood.

Our stay at the Moose was absolutely incredible!! We stayed one night but wish we would've stayed more. The rooms are beautiful, the pool is very nice to spend a bit of time to relax away from the crowds at the beach! The location is also nice, not far from the center. But mostly, the owner Manuj, is incredibly nice and helpful! He did his best and went out of his way to make sure we had a nice stay, I truly recommend this place !

Our host Manoj is a fine gentleman, so accomodating and gracious. The pool and hotel in general is spotless. The rooms are spacious and the a/c outstanding. I really appreciated the peace and quiet away from the bustle of Weligama. Would absolutely stay again.

Very clean, lovely owner, quiet location

Doors to each room do not close easily. I was woken by other guests slamming their doors throughout the night, multiple times. I wouldn’t stay again unless this is fixed.

We stayed at the Moose for 3 nights. All was perfect! Rooms are clean, excellent view from the rooftop, well equipped little kitchen, soft towels ( even pool towels). We all loved the pool! So clean and so warm! The owner is amazing, caring for his guests to the maximum. He organised us tuktuk, taxi, recommended a great massage.His hotel is new and modern. We got spoiled ! Happy to give 10 out of 10!
