The Moose Weligama

The Moose in Welligama was a perfect stay with scenic views from the terrace. The rooms were well maintained and very clean. This place is very close to good cafés and surfing schools in Welligama. It is pretty close to all the popular southern beaches in Sri Lanka. We had a great time here and will definitely stay at this place for our next visit to Welligama or Mirissa.

Everything was perfect about the stay.

The Moose was nice and new, with the most beautiful jungle/ocean view from the rooftop terrace. The beds and duvets/pillows were comfortable, and there was a lovely pool area. The host, Manoj, was incredibly kind and welcoming, and we had many pleasant chats with him during our stay.

Very good host, scenic views from terrace and very clean property. Very close to all the popular places nearby.

The accommodation was new and very clean. The location was peaceful and close to the center of Weligama and Weligama beach. The host made me feel welcome and was very helpful throughout my stay. My room was large enough, and the good air conditioning kept it cool while sleeping. I slept very well every night here. A fridge and a small kitchen outside the room are also a nice addition if you need them. I can warmly recommend this accommodation to those arriving in Sri Lanka and Weligama. I really enjoyed my time in Sri Lanka and this accommodation was part of my great experience.

The hotel is completely new so everything is super clean and in an amazing condition. The location is perfect since its close to weligama and ahangama. I was supposed to stay only few nights but enjoyed my stay so much that extended it for two weeks. Also the common little kitchen is so handy to have! Pool and the pool chairs are in great condition and the area is really quiet so easy to get good sleep in.

The house is completely new and beautiful. It was so much better than we expected. The owner made us feel welcomed and he was very helpful as well. My friend and I stayed one month totally in Sri Lanka in a few different accommodations, but The Moose Weligama was the best accommodation where we stayed.

My wife and I have been using Booking.com for a few years now. We have always been hesitant to book a property without reviews, as you're never quite sure what you might be getting into. That all changed with The Moose Weligama. The pictures looked amazing and the price seemed right. So, we took a chance. Once we arrived, we could not believe oir eyes! The Moose is a brand new building, that was still receiving some finishing touches when we arrived. We would also learn that we would be the first guests...ever! We were welcomed by the owner, Mr. Manoj. He was incredibly warm, friendly and extremely accomodating, helping us settle in and providing us with some essentials to make our stay comfortable. By the end of our stay, we felt as if we had truly connected and made a dear friend. Our stay was comfortable and familiar. We were truly honored to meet Mr. Manoj and felt priviledged to be his first guest. A true gift of fate. The Moose is Weligama's newest "best kept secret". A beautiful property located in a residential area about 1K from the heart of Weligama beach, and a 7 minute walk to Basecamp (for any yoga enthusiasts). It is luxurious, well appointed and priced incredibly well for what you get. Anyone who has the opportunity to stay here is truly blessed! (Mr. Manoj, thank you for your kindness and for opening your home to us. We are forever grateful!)
