I recently stayed at the charming Blombos Self-Catering House in Gansbaai, and it was a delightful experience. The cozy two-bedroom farmhouse offered stunning views of the mountains, the lush cow fields, and the nearby beach, creating a perfect blend of tranquility and beauty. The facilities on site include farm animals, with possibilities to be fed and pet! There's a nursery, great for morning walks. A few options of hiking the mountain and endemic cape nature. These hikes range from short to long! I especially loved relaxing by the pond, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature, making it an ideal getaway. The braai facility is equipped with wood and utensils. The facility has ample space for al-fresco dining.

I would like to bring the guests attention to the rocky access roads to the house. Afterall, it is a farm, and if you are in a rental do not be worried, drive slow and steady!

Fantastic unit. Very spacious, very clean. Comfy beds and electric blankets as it can get cold and windy. Great view and lovely, safe 5km walking route on the farm. Also farm animals, nursery and café on site.

The hosts Mathilda and Lonnie welcomed us with warm hands from day one, whenever we needed something they were there as soon as they could to help. They are excellent hosts. Their Restaurant on the farm also serves delicious food. I recommend this to everyone, that place is a haven.

We liked everything.

The property was on a lovely farm just outside of Franskraal. We felt very safe and secure. The owners were very understanding and helpful. Everything inside the house was fully functional and the house itself is very large and spacious.

There was not much to improve on. The only thing we would have appreciated would be to have some Cremora or milk powder/milk to be able to make coffee in the morning. Other than that the property was spotless and extremely comfortable. They even have heated blankets for the beds which was lovely for the cold winter night!
