Exceptional service. The kindest and most helpful host you could ask for. He used to work in the hotel industry and you can tell as he utterly spoilt you and no request was too much. Welcome drinks, immaculately clean room, beautiful high quality bedding, unbelievable view, secluded bungalow / villa where you sit and watch peacocks, mongoose and an array of birds all day then at night I sat with the lights off inside watching 100s of fireflies! I encourage everyone to stay and the food was out of this world! I ate breakfast and dinner there and he even made me packed breakfast to watch the sunrise at Pidurangula rock, then lunch for my trip to my next Homestay in Peredeniya. His hosting level means I would stay here for 4 + nights and visit all the archeological sites within a few hours (he helped with ideas and taxi links). I was the only guest, yet he still organised a safari with his brother and accompanies as your guide and the price was much lower than everywhere else despite me being alone! As a single female travelling this was my first time in Sri Lanka and it’s the safest country I’ve ever felt.

It’s just off the road so you can hear the traffic but I expected this and was not an issue as you’re further down the end of the garden by the lake so quieter than the main house.

Beautiful property with 2 large clean rooms overlooking a lake with peacocks walking past your private terrace. The owner Prasanna is super-friendly and hospitable. The optional home-cooked dinner is highly recommended. Prasanna's brother Pradheep has a safari jeep which you can book at a very resonable rate (much better than what is available elsewhere online or in town), and his friend Prabath is a tuktuk driver (again, very fair rates for short distances or full-day hire). I wish I could have stayed longer! I'll come back and stay at Peacock Lake Villa if I ever visit the area again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

le propriétaire très sympathique. C'est récent, bien entretenu, bien équipé. Il y a de la place dans la chambre, de l'espace devant et derrière, une vue sur un parc et un étang où il y a oiseaux et écureuils . Proche de la route et de l'arrêt de bus... mais les chambres sont au fond du parc, si bien qu'on croit être loin de tout. La cuisine est bonne avec des portions suffisantes. Pour ceux qui se déplacent en bus : arrêt en face de l'hôtel dans le sens Est ouest et à 800 m dans le sens nord sud. Idéal pour un break, ou pour aller à Sigiriya. Pour ma part, j'ai passé beaucoup de temps sur le lit à regarder les oiseaux au travers de la grande baie vitrée

Het is een hele mooie rustige plek. We hebben genoten van het heerlijke uitgebreide ontbijt. Prasanne is een behulpzaam en vriendelijke man. Allemaal super schoon, dat vonden wij heel belangrijk. Prijs ook heel aantrekkelijk. Aanbevolen!

La tranquillité du lieu, l'immense gentillesse et la disponibilité des hôtes, le petit déjeuner et le dîner (vraiment excellents), la chambre (très agréable) En bref, nous serions bien restés quelques nuits de plus :)

El mejor alojamiento que he tenido en el país durante mi viaje. Habitación muy grande, cama cómoda y súper limpio. Los dueños son majisimos y el desayuno que preparan, estupendo. Volvería otra vez allí sin duda alguna!
