UNOTEL Karon Beach

Cool style and spacious rooms, with a large comfy bed and good AC. The staff were very friendly and helpful and in the lobby they served the best coffee in Phuket. The location was perfect, a couple of hundred metres to the beach and in the middle of the bars and restaurants.

The bar downstairs is noisy but we were here on holiday so was enjoying the nightlife in Karon and it had closed when we went to bed.

You should know before booking: - Noisy place: There is a bar nearby where live music plays until late in the evening. - Problem with AC remote: It is assumed that you should hold the remote control right next to the air conditioner. This may be a small problem for tall people. But for the button to work even in such conditions, you need to press it dozens of times. - Bad ergonomics: There are no bedside tables next to the bed. To boil a kettle, you need to find a place to put it, because the cord from the table does not reach the socket. If you try to sit at the table, the low-hanging lamp will hit you on the head. Also, the height of the chair and table does not correspond, you will not be able to sit comfortably.

Loud music coming from Bar outside the front. Didn't stop till 2am. Not suitable if you like a early night 😴

It‘s really close to everything.

The bathroom is not extremely new bit it‘s fine.

Location was excellent Cafe downstairs had great food and the best coffee in Phuket Room was spacious and clean Very friendly and helpful team at reception and their cafe

The hotel is extremely noisy as it's directly above a nightclub (not Unotel's fault, but it made it very hard to sleep) WiFi was patchy, could connect sometimes but not others The A/C really struggled to cool the room, especially after long, hot days and no spare key to leave it running while out No lift (but hotel staff gladly helped with luggage) Bathrooms need shower screens and better drainage, having a shower left the entire bathroom wet

It would have been nice to have coffee, tea and water in the room when I arrived. Water was brought on the second day.

The hotel was okay, the room was very modern and the location was very good. The street it is on is very busy and it is very close to a popular beach.

We checked in late at night. Got into our room and it was very noisy. The TV then didn't work, we did complain about this at the time and it didn't get fixed whilst we were there and unfortunately not one member of staff apologised for this . We were also not offered to change rooms. When we checked in the bathroom also hadn't been cleaned. There was rubbish in the bin and half used bars of soap dotted around the bathroom. We didn't say anything as it was so late and we had already been down once about the TV but the next day should have probably mentioned this. Food in the hotel was nice but we did wait a long time for our breakfast to be served, so would probably choose somewhere local to eat instead.

Shower is horrible, when using it the whole bathroom becomes wet
