FURAHA BEACH ROOMS

The property is right on the beach and is beautifully decorated with a very good restaurant. The hotel had a generator which was a must considering there were power cuts most days. The staff were all really lovely and helpful. They even laundered our clothes for free.

It is incredibly loud. The hotel next door has very loud music playing and the configuration of the rooms means that the staff quarters were directly opposite our room. The noise from the staff was really amplified by the concrete floor and walls of the adjoining walkway. The staff weren’t particularly noisy apart from some very long phone conversations conducted on a loudspeaker and generally chatting outside their rooms. The window above the door and in the bathroom has no glass so you can’t shut out the noise.

Great stay in a cheerful setting We really enjoyed our time at Furaha Beach Hotel. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, with a cheerful vibe that fits perfectly with the location. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and felt very comfortable. The beach is just a few steps away, which made it easy to enjoy the sea at any time. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and a real highlight each morning. Special thanks to Doris at the reception – her friendly and upbeat manner made us feel at home right away.

Our host, Dorice, was super kind and very attentive to our happiness during the stay. The room is very nice and objectively a really good value for money. I also liked that we could have as much water as we wanted ( on a refillable bottle, so no plastic waste) Breakfast was also tasty and abundant

Only bad thing was the curtain that was letting a lot of light on in the morning

Noises from all windows making it difficult to relax with privacy.

Dorice is a very friendly and sweet host. She advised us on what to do and was very supportive throughout our stay. The whole staff is caring, friendly and professional. The food at the restaurant is delicious (curries and breakfast,especially the avocado toast with poached eggs) The hotel is in front of the beach and the beach is very nice, probably the nicest in Zanzibar and way nicer than Nungwy. The hotel is very clean and quiet.

Everything about Furaha Beach Rooms was honestly incredible. It’s a small boutique spot with only three rooms, which makes it feel super private and intimate. The vibes? Immaculate. Afro beats and Amapiano flowing through the air at times, colourful decor everywhere, and a peaceful “pole pole” (slowly slowly) atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home. The staff are just the kindest souls.. it felt more like staying with family than at a hotel. Every room we stayed in (we ended up coming back again!) was absolutely beautiful, clean, and sooo comfy. The food? 10/10 ... so delicious, every single dish was cooked with love. We had a powercut there for less than 10mins (they have a generator!) and it was amazing to see the stars so clearly whilst the lights were off! We’re genuinely so happy we found this place. It’s a little treasure tucked away in Kendwa. Thankyou we hope to come back 🙏🏻💕

This is a small cute hotel, that is quite homey. It has unique handcrafted decor. Our room had a large bath, and there was lots of space. It is fairly difficult to find, but right on Kendwa beach. Basically it is a restaurant with a few rooms attached. The included breakfast was huge! Our biggest problem was that the power went out several times during our stay, and the longest outage lasted 7 hours. During that time a generator was used that was quite loud, and the AC didn’t work. When it did work, the AC was barely able to cool the room.
