The Annex

We liked the very warm welcome from Elaine and her dogs. The apartment was very clean and well furnished, with a pretty courtyard containing many flowering plants. Elaine provided an excellent choice of breakfast items and we were able to make tea and Nespresso coffee in a wide selection of flavours. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent. The location was easy to find and quiet, with no noise from passing traffic.

We would have appreciated a blackout blind for the window above the bed, to avoid us being woken at sunrise (admittedly on the shortest night of the year!).

The check in went exactly as described and the property was immaculately clean. The continental breakfast selection was plentiful with bread, croissants, cereal, granola, honey, jam, milk, etc. The coffee machine was easy to use, with instructions provided, and the selection of pods was enormous! I don’t think there’s anything more Elaine could have provided for us to be honest, even down to toiletries in the bathroom which I wasn’t expecting. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side to make use of the well-kept private courtyard but I imagine this would be a real sun trap on the right day

The annexe is very small, with no space for a comfy sofa or arm chair, although was as described. For a one night stay such as ours it was perfect. The snag for us was the bed I’m afraid, being a metal bed frame, it was very noisy each time one of us tried to move, as a result we didn’t have the best night’s sleep. That all being said, I would happily return for another night’s stay if in the area again, thank you Elaine

It was perfect for us, everything we could possibly want for our overnight stay. We were attending a funeral in Weybourne so the location was perfect and also a short distance from Holt which we loved.

A great place to relax after exploring the local area. Short drive to Holt and Sheringham. The room was spotlessly clean with many little extras such as a coffee machine. We especially enjoyed the outside courtyard. Perfect to relax with a cuppa or glass of wine. Great communication from the owner. We 100% recommend.

The place is nicely decorated and clean. Parking is excellent. Everything you need for light breakfast is provided. Milk, butter, jam and multi-seeded bread are available. I love the coffee machine! Microwave is available if you would like to warm you food or milk.

The blinds - too bright in the summer. A block out blinds will be good. We we awake at 4:30 am because of the brightness. The shower gel is minimal and no shampoo provided. So bring your shower gel and shampoo for back up. Most of the road are unclassified. Nice drive in the summer but not in winter.

Although a self-catering property, there were plenty of choices for breakfast with cereals, bread, preserves and pains au chocolate together with a great coffee machine (though we're took advantage of the tea!)

This is not a criticism just a personal observation. I prefer almost complete darkness when sleeping and I found the room very light so didn't sleep well.

Very clean and comfortable, well equipped with everything needed. Good location, easy parking and good instructions from owner.

Couldn't connect to wifi, and found the microwave, the coffee machine and the TV a bit complicated, though that's probably down to me not being great at managing modern technology.
