Seaview Retreat by Grandeur Property

We loved the location of the property, the instructions for access etc were very good. It is bright and comfortable with good facilities.

The main bathroom water pressure is too low especially the sink for hand washing. The en-suite bedroom could do with extra electrical socket/adapter as had to keep swapping things to use. Also would benefit from having a full length mirror for hair drying etc especially as the bathroom one steams up after showering, the light on this mirror also doesn’t work. The balcony is a lovely place to sit, I think this space needs a deep clean as if it were an internal room. Only minor but we found a disposable dirty food tray behind the kitchen bin when looking for dish wash tablets, which were missing too. Although a simple message and some were bought to us.

No instructions for the hob at the property which we couldn't get to work. Parking instructions given by agent were inaccurate.

Location was superb - Seaview, close to Southbourne high street. Parking space ideal as a very busy area. Balcony with cover perfect for cooler weather.

Beds were small - perhaps one could be a kingsize. Lack of electric sockets close to bedside tables.

Refundable deposit of £400 is too much. I had to opt for the non refundable payment of £95 which of course adds to the cost. Didn’t like the request for more money to stay later than 10 or arrive earlier than 4. There is no goodwill here from the hosts - not even a pint of milk or washing up liquid provided. No welcome pack or anything. Bifold windows did not work properly and although I notified them, nobody came out to fix it.

The setting was good and the balcony the best feature of the property. The balcony seats were the most comfortable. The equipment and other facilities were very comprehensive. Contact with the provider was good, with queries promptly answered.

The lighting was not very good in the lounge or second bedroom for reading. The second bedroom was a bit cramped. A single bed would have left more space so that a bedside light could be provided.

Easy to find, easy to access and a really lovely apartment. Absolutely faultless with cleanliness and facilities. Will definitely be back again
