Green cottage Ella

We loved being so close to nature. The cottages are tucked into the hillside amongst the trees, we saw so much wildlife it was incredible. The cottages are really cute and it really feels like jungle accomodation! The trees also kept the place nice and cool during the hot daytime temperatures! It was also really close to the waterfalls and a very kind local farmer showed us a secret viewing point through his fields near the hotel. The staff were friendly and warm.

The hotel is up quite a steep hill, not far from the main road but if you were carrying heavy bags it would be quite tricky. Pack light or pay for a tuk tuk/taxi to get you there!! Also, we didn’t find out that the hotel only accepts cash payments until late on our last evening. This meant we had to go back into Ella to take cash out (down and back up the hill!).

what a beautiful location with the natural green forest overlooking mountains also.the host and staff are absolutely amazing and welcoming warmly. Very comfortable bed and room was upstair made by wooden. On the balcony you could really relax and enjoy the beautiful calming view.the breakfast Very good ànd tasty. We would have liked to have stayed there longer. Everything very loving and familiar . In real natural life was enjoyed in green cottage Ella. The location is the value added benefit is a peaceful location to enjoy with nature and lot of colourful birds. 05 minutes walk to the city centre.you can meet number of various restaurants. The best location in Ella sri lanka. Thanks for your great hospitality and memorable our life.

Fantastic property in Ella. This place has One of the most amazing jungle view ,we have ever seen. the Breakfast is delicious 😋 & plentiful the staff are incredibly nice and helpful. Bed room is spacious,clean. the bed we're so comfortable with watching outside green environments. Host Daya especially made our stay extra special. This property is just quick walk to the town. This location was charming & we could watched more wild animals, like deers,rabbits, monkeys, gain squirrels even big butterflies. If we ever come back to Ella we will be definitely stay here again. 100% recommend this Hotel

Ella's best kept secret - we couldn't say enough wonderful things about this accommodation to do this place justice! This is truly like staying in the jungle, you overlook the trees watching Monkeys and wake up to them on your balcony whilst eating the most delicious breakfast. The host Hara is the most AMAZING host we had for our whole trip - incredibly hard working, extremely friendly and such a joy to chat to and get to know. Will definitely be coming back on any future trips to Sri Lanka!

We loved our stay here! Sitting in the balcony drinking tea and admiring the beautiful jungle and monkeys, the sound of the birds, so peaceful. The breakfast was amazing!!! The guy in charge was super nice, helpful and kind.

Noise from the street as my room was nearest to it. But plenty of accomodation in Ella faces the street so you get this everywhere. This accomodation actually might be better than others as other rooms are sheltered from it.

The location was fantastic, it was very quiet but still just a 3 minute walk to the main road. We had a wonderful room with a view from the balcony directly into the jungle and we could watch the monkeys dancing around the giant trees all day! We enjoyed our stay so much that we perlonged it one night and we would recommend it to everyone who wants to calm down for a couple of days to the sound of the surrounding nature. The room was perfectly clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was warm. Also the host was super nice and helpful with tips for restaurants and good things to do. It was one of the best accommodations we had so far!
