Very old nasty dirty and outdated property. Not at all what was advertised.

Great property very clean and quiet.Enjoyed our stay very much.

We really enjoyed our stay we extended till the end of the week the kids really enjoyed the choice if swimming pools and us parents loved relaxing in the comfort of AC and the staff is very friendly we're definitely coming

Hidden fees that were not disclosed at the time of making the reservation; Beach supposedly associated with property was dirty with litter, and totally unkempt; also, property outside the room was not clean at all, with litter pretty much everywhere No communication at the time of booking regarding the floor on which we were supposed to stay, including the lack of elevator (we stayed on the third floor); Although we stayed for 7 nights, and had no housekeeping (which had been mentioned in a “fine script” manner in the description of the property), we were actually expected to clean after ourselves before checking out, while having paid well over $300 per night. Overall, very poor value for the money

We’re Wyndham members and this is the nastiest toilet of a hotel we’ve ever stayed at anywhere!! We’re checking out in the morning. The room stinks even after opening the doors and running the ac for two hours. Stains everywhere, pieces of the carpet cut out, the couch stinks so bad, kitchen and bathroom cabinets are all scratched and stained. I opened the microwave and a piece fell off. Stains on the mattress, the top of the refrigerator has a quarter inch of dust on top and the best part is we cant lock our door from the inside!!! Maintenance man came and offered a door stop and never came back. Never, ever, ever, ever stay at this s***hole location. I spoke with an employee at the office and was informed that all the rooms are trash and there was no point in changing rooms and i should try calling corporate. This is my first review ever!

Nice beach for sunrise

Perfect distance from town. Short drive, so it felt separate and quiet. Right next to the beach for easy access.also right in the middle of the island, so great spot to explore all over.

When we first pulled in we were very confused where to go to check in. Property staff were all very friendly and they text on various days fun daily treats they are giving out such as hot dogs/chips, hot cocoa and piña coladas. There is a coded gate to get into the parking lot which made it feel more secure. It was very convenient having a full well stocked kitchen with dishwasher and a washer/dryer. We also had the deluxe with two bathrooms. There is a nice private beach and the lagoon was pretty as well, with a lot of wild chickens that would come up to our patio each day. I believe the towels/bedding were clean but they very much need to use bleach when laundering them. We were concerned upon finding that almost every single towel, the comforter, most the pillows, and the couch had very light stains on them. We removed one of the pillows from the bed and some of the towels entirely that I was just not comfortable using. Other than that it is a convenient condo style that makes a longer stay easier. Being on the bottom floor, I appreciated that they also had provided large wooden dowels to put in the sliding doors. I wish there had been an in room safe which was mentioned on the check out instructions sheet but we did not have one.

We bought a Discovery Package from Whydham Resorts almost 2 years ago. After only a short time, we realized we had been lied to- over and over and over. Just a side note- we have owned a time share for 31 years and been very happy, so we are not in the time share hating crowd. We were told that units were put aside for Discovery Package owners, so we wouldn't have trouble booking at popular times of the year. That was not true. We had 2 years to use the Package and were never able to book at any location we really wanted to go when we wanted to go there, so we finally settled on this resort for 13 days, using all of our points. This is not a luxury resort. Now they want us to attend a 90 minute presentation almost an.hour away at the only luxury resort Whydham owns on Kauai. We were not even given a partial cleaning mid stay. We booked for 13 days, so I don't think asking for the bathroom to be cleaned and the bed sheets changed was too much to ask. We were refused. No one from Whydham Co. called us until we had been here a week to offer help booking activities, and they demanded we rearrange our schedule to attend this 90 minute presentation because it's " in our contract ". Had the concierge from the other side of the island called closer to our arrival date, we wouldn't have been so booked up. It's going to be a very cold. 90 minute meeting regardless of the temperature in the room. There is no concierge here, and the little activities that are posted on the TV screen in the office keep getting canceled. No ice cream sundaes, no little gatherings - just" we're trying to work something out". I asked several times before we came, about handicapped parking. No one ever replied. There is one handicapped parking.spot neat our unit, and someone else is always parked there. There is one small pool and a hot tub only big enough for 4 adults on this property. We are allowed to use the pools and hottub at the property next store- much nicer than here- but my husband can't walk that far and we aren't allowed to park there. Gee, thanks, Whydham, for the help and making sure we were taken care of. I won't sit on the furniture in the living room without putting a towel over it- it's filthy. I ended up changing the bed sheets myself, and no one has come to pick up the dirty ones we were told to leave outside in the garbage bag. We paid $4,000.00 for this? Please note, the 3 buildings with an ocean view were flooded out by a storm some time ago. You can still see the sand bags, the fencing and the " danger, restricted are" signs. Don't count on any ocean view here. It doesn't appear any repairs are underway, and this damage did not occur recently. So- these are the Kauai Beach Villas owned by Whydham. Right next to the much nicer and well maintained Outrigger Villas.
