Mountain View Shepherds Hut

It's a lovely little place to stay in, love the quirky bits of ornaments and furniture and the thought that went into it, lovely comfy bed has cooking facilities a kettle and a walk in shower and reasonably priced and a lovely view and front to sit out and read a good book and it's close to the lovely Cranfield west beach.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was very clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, which made it a perfect place to relax and unwind. You can really feel that the owners take good care of the place. We truly enjoyed our time here and felt very comfortable throughout the whole stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and cozy getaway. As a solo traveller in her 60s I spent four wonderful nights at this property over the Summer Solstice wkend June 2025, and was very blessed with superb weather. Ideal location with great mountain views, great sky's and sunsets, 10 minute walk to beach. The whole surroundings were very serene, peaceful, tranquil and beautiful. Decor inside and outside the shepherd's hut was very tastefully done, I felt like I was living in a little fairy tale. Great communication from Linda the host, I would not hesitate to come back here.

A bathroom mirror above the sink is the only thing I think could be approved on.

Really good location as a base for hiking in the Mourne mountains, just a short drive. Hut was small but comfortable and cosy for a 2 night stay. Kitchenette facilities were a great bonus and lovely outdoor seating area if you're lucky enough to get the weather

The place is lovely and cozy, really admire how they have managed to get everything you need into a small space. The location with the view of the mountains was beautiful, wish I had more time to spend there

The hut has everything you need for thee perfect stay, Linda couldn't have done enough for us!! The bed was so comfortable, has everything you need and more. Cranfield beach was a very short walk away, the outside area is quite and beautiful views of the mountains. We have stayed in many cabins, huts and lodges. But this one I must say has been are favourite. We most definitely will be back!!
