Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa

Location was fantastic. Amazing views, great place to walk. Loved the crazy golf.

Room layout wasn’t great. Bathroom too big for size of room. Only had a brick wall as a view from our room which made the room quite dark. Sockets not in the right locations and hairdryer cable too short to use satisfactorily. Could do with an extractor fan in the bathroom. Note that you may not be staying in the main building, which is a bit misleading. Restaurant a bit overpriced but breakfast was good.

The views and location are absolutely stunning. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very aesthetic and food portions are great and food is delicious.

The hotel and rooms are very grubby and need a really good clean, everywhere is dirty and mouldy and damp and gross. The housekeeping were terrible. I was there for 3 nights and the sheets weren’t changed once! They also barged in when I was in the toilet without knocking. The room was tiny and stuffy with no AC. There weren’t many benches around the grounds so it was difficult to just sit outside and take in the views. The room was tiny and very stuffy- no AC. I went for my birthday and let them know in advance and got no complimentary gifts/ upgrades which was disappointing. On the last day I decided to sit in the lobby and it smelt very strongly of the toilets nearby. Very disappointing and it’s clear that they need to improve the hygiene of the hotel.
