Era Cruise Lan Ha Bay

- very friendly staff who genuinely believe in top customer service - we got a room upgrade. Very spacious room with iacuzzi - swimming in sea was great experience plus great views all across

- excursion can be more meaningful…only had one main activity which was a cave visit - while grateful for special care, vegetarian options can be better

Although booked Era Cruises when we got to marina they told us our boat was venus cruises (a sister Ship) which suited our needs well and appeared same as what we originally booked. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was very good but dinner 5 courses too much for normal appertites.

The 1 night cruises should be separate to the 2 night cruises as they seemed to overlap and the 2 ngt people had to endure the same speil again when the 1 day people boarded. Also the activities were the same each day except the caves tour which i wanted to do however it was way too early at 6-30am start. The boat went up and down the same piece of river for the whole 2 days which was a little boring also the rubbish in the water was very offputting as Halong Bay is a big drawcard for vietnam tourism and you think they would have someone cleaning up the rubbish on a regular basis.

The rooms were kept clean, furnished really well and had breathtaking views. The cruise itself was modern but nothing too different from the many cruises you can find from other cruises. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Eras gave us the option to kayak or swim on the first day. And on the second day, we took the small boats to see the caves, rather than walking in the caves itself. Additionally, we stayed mostly in Lan Ha Bay which was less crowded and not too touristy - hence the cruise was secluded from others.

We found minor faults with the cruise: * Found the tender boat way too long (approximately 45 minutes) * Food was average * The shuttle bus after the cruise was a little disorganised

Can not fault this cruise attention to detail and service second to none

We were on a 3 day 2 night trip. Room was fabulous & they did their best to keep us entertained. Food was good as well with lots of choice.
