Amuura Beach Villa

One of the most beautiful places we stayed in Sri Lanka! The atmosphere is just amazing. Everything is perfect from the natural tasteful decorations, the staff that makes you feel at home, the wonderful location right at the beach. Price is very good for what you get. Super clean room.

Everything was just perfect!

Everything is perfect, we liked this absolutely stunning villa. Thanks a lot our hospitable hosts for this amazing and stylish place. The villa is 2 steps from the beach and has a landscaped green area with hammocks and sun loungers. Rooms are comfortable and cozy. I strongly recommend this place, it is the best choice, we were so happy to stay here

Not too far from airport. Swimming pool is small but perfect for just a dip or to cool down. Unbeatable location. Beautiful and very well kept house. Right by the beach. Beach is not the cleanest but it’s a public beach and out of Amuura’s control. The meals and drinks they provide are delicious. There is a great variety to choose from. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to try make our stay perfect, however, if it wasn’t for the lack of extra fans, lack of air-con and mosquitoes we would have stayed longer.

I wouldn’t recommend pregnant women, young kids or people affected by the heat to stay here. We had to leave earlier than planned as it’s very hot inside the bedrooms. It’s also sadly infested with mosquitoes. So so many compared to all the other hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. They have nets around the bed, but they are quite old and with holes, which doesn’t help as mosquitoes go in. Dinner time could be perfect as the food is delicious, but it’s so hot (no fans in public areas) and the mosquitoes are so annoying. There are no A/C and they only have 1 ceiling fan which looks old and doesn’t blow much wind, there are no real curtains which adds to the charm but could be an issue if you wake up with a bit of light (an issue with the majority of kids). Unfortunately it’s very noisy at night. Hotel is located next to a very busy road and impossible to close the doors otherwise it will be even hotter. The stairs at the property don’t have any rails, so it could be very dangerous for young kids, pregnant women or if you have a disability. Shared bathrooms but I wouldn’t say this is a problem.

it was night when we checked in, so it looked a little scary. but there were a lot of fireflies. it was beautiful to walk to the property, scary too. it looked very mesmerizing in the morning. they set up chairs and hammock and the see is right Infront of you. the property itself is not alone or isolated. it is located in a lively neighborhood. yet, you get a private beach and swimming pool. however, they had a common sharing bathroom space with three showers. and two washrooms. they had one dog, cookie, and two cats, mango and papaya, all of them are friendly. they have very good breakfast that you can eat overlooking the ocean. the quantity is very abundant. it is very filling breakfast. the staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. overall we had wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful three night stay at Amuura Beach Villa. Nina, Ray and the other members of the team are fantastic hosts and we felt so welcome and cared for at all times. We ate at the villa each night - the food was some of the best of our trip and it was lovely to chat with other guests. The rooms are spacious and well designed. We also had a massage and Ray helped us organise activities including a boat trip and visit to local beach and gardens. They even arranged a special romantic dinner for us on the beach one night! High recommend a stay

A lovely friendly atmosphere, staff and owners really took care of us. The food was incredible! The view from the garden is stunning and a perfect location to watch sunset.

The perfect place to relax and unwind. Peaceful Accommodation with character and attention to detail. Super friendly staff and incredibly good food. Ray and Nina are very attentive, take time for their guests and have lots of tips. Due to the small number of guests, everything is very personal and great conversations and contacts are made. The house dog Cookie and the little cat Mango make it even more homely.Not an easy departure - we would come back in a heartbeat!

Very cute villa with lovely furniture and many common areas. Nice garden and directly located at the ocean (sand beach for swimming is 5 min walking).

The accommodation is a bit further away from restaurants and cafes so can feel a bit isolated. It’s best when one seeks to relax in the garden or swim at the nearby beach.
