Atauro Dive Resort

Caroline and Paul are exceptional hosts. Paul even came and picked us up from the ferry. The rooms are simple but comfortable and the whole place is so cosy. All of the meals were exceptional with breakfast being included in the price, and lunch and dinner having an extra fee should you wish to have them. The location is excellent - right on the beach! The mornings are so serene watching the sunrise over the water. It’s only a few minutes walk into Ataúro town centre along the beach, which is such a lovely stroll. Paul and Caroline are truly great folks who seem to genuinely care about what they are doing and are passionate about the place and its people. I can’t wait to visit Timor-Leste and Ataúro island again! I will definitely be staying at Ataúro Dive Resort Again! Obrigado :)

Rooms were ok, bed was comfortable, meals were nice ! The Sunday Pork was incredible !!

We booked and made an enquiry to the resort directly regarding return transportation. We were informed by a staff member that there was a return boat on the day we wanted to return (as per our booking requirements) When we arrived at the resort, after no instructions on how to actually get there, we were informed that the information provided was incorrect. We were given 3 options, Return the same day and miss our stay, stay longer, or, hire a private boat for $200 USD to get back to Dili when we had to !! Apart from that, i would stay there again.

Location great for diving and walk to other places.

No screens on windows so room had a lot of mosquitoes day and night.

The staff at ADR were amazing, like a little family taking care of each other. meals on point, delicious and very accommodating to your diving or snorkeling needs.

Nice simple "resort" with basic facilities but a real relaxed charm. Good dive master, Deedee, although we only snorkelled. Food quite adequate. Very much a "70's" experience!! Had a certain charm and sense of adventure for 2 x 70+ year olds.

Shared long drop toilet OK, but took us back to camping days. Our resort beach was knee deep in dead sea weed- once navigated through that, reasonable snorkelling
